Position Overview

The Quality Control Specialist in Riyadh is a detail-oriented, process-driven role responsible for maintaining product and process quality standards across all stages of production. From performing routine inspections on incoming raw materials to evaluating in-process and finished goods, you will be the front line of quality assurance — identifying deviations, reporting defects to the Senior QC Specialist, rejecting non-conforming materials, and working closely with production staff to implement lasting improvements. You will also lead quality audits, contribute to corrective action processes, and provide mentoring and guidance to QC inspectors on your team.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Testing

  • Perform routine inspections and tests on incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify compliance with defined quality standards
  • Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformances from quality specifications and report findings promptly to the Senior Quality Control Specialist
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet established quality expectations, ensuring non-conforming items are properly quarantined and documented
  • Monitor quality performance indicators across production stages and flag emerging trends or recurring issues for investigation

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Record and document all inspection results accurately, maintaining detailed and audit-ready quality control records
  • Ensure documentation systems are consistently updated, organized, and accessible for internal audits and compliance reviews
  • Prepare clear quality reports summarizing inspection findings, defect trends, and corrective action status for management review

Quality Audits & Corrective Actions

  • Conduct internal quality audits to assess process and product compliance against quality standards and company procedures
  • Identify audit findings, track corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and follow through to ensure effective resolution
  • Collaborate with production staff to address root causes of quality issues and provide structured feedback for process improvements

Team Support & Mentoring

  • Train and mentor QC inspectors as needed, building team capability and ensuring consistent application of quality procedures
  • Ensure proper delegation of duties to qualified team members during periods of absence, under the direction of the line manager
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing practical insights from daily inspection and audit activities

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline

Experience Requirements

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a related industry
  • Minimum 1 year of direct work experience in Quality Assurance processes and systems
  • Familiarity with quality inspection methodologies, documentation standards, and audit processes

Skills & Competencies

  • Good command of the English language — both written and spoken — for documentation, reporting, and cross-functional communication
  • Strong attention to detail with a systematic, thorough approach to inspection and record-keeping
