What You’ll Do — Key Responsibilities
As a Research and Development Intern at Kraft Heinz Dubai, your responsibilities will include:
Packaging Development & Innovation
- Coordinate processes for New Product Developments (NPDs) supporting packaging technologists on implementation at GCC co-packers
- Support innovation projects, Value Engineering (VE) initiatives, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) packaging sustainability projects
- Maintain responsibility for packaging material specifications and artwork accuracy, ensuring all specs are current and up-to-date
- Execute packaging technical benchmarking comparing competitor packaging solutions and industry best practices
- Conduct packaging functionality testing to validate performance, durability, and consumer usability
- Support Consumer Centricity Experience (CCX) department in all functionality tests related to packaging NPDs
Sensory Evaluation & Consumer Testing
- Support sensory evaluations by preparing product samples, organizing tasting sessions, and ensuring all tasters follow correct methodologies
- Assist in setting up and coordinating various product testing sessions including napping tests, Quantitative Descriptive Analysis (QDA), triangle tests, and consumer tastings
- Document tasting feedback accurately, compile analytical results, and update sensory databases and tracking systems
- Manage sample storage and preparation for R&D projects following proper food safety protocols
- Organize sensory training sessions for employees and help screen potential panelist tasters
Project Support & Documentation
- Contribute to preparation of presentation slides, tasting summaries, and technical project reports for management review
- Maintain organized documentation of all testing results, specifications, and project milestones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D scientists, packaging technologists, quality assurance, and marketing
- Support ongoing innovation pipeline from concept development through commercialization

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related engineering field

Experience Requirements
- 0-1 year of experience in packaging development, product development, or related fields
- Previous internship experience in food industry, consumer goods, or packaging is advantageous but not mandatory
