Position Overview
This Resident Engineer role acts as the primary site representative throughout the construction phase of a prestigious Dubai landmark development. You will lead and manage the supervision team, coordinate contractors, consultants, and client representatives, monitor construction progress, review and approve contractor submissions including method statements and shop drawings, manage quality assurance and control processes, and resolve technical issues efficiently while maintaining programme, budget, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Supervision
- Act as the Resident Engineer and primary site representative throughout the construction phase
- Lead and manage the supervision team, ensuring works are executed per approved design, specifications, programme, and quality standards
- Chair site meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior project leadership
Stakeholder Coordination & Contractor Management
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, client representatives, and key project stakeholders
- Review and approve contractor submissions, method statements, shop drawings, inspections, and material approvals
- Resolve technical and construction-related issues efficiently while maintaining project objectives
Progress Monitoring & Risk Management
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to maintain programme delivery
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, local regulations, and health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Manage quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Support testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Professional registration or chartership is advantageous
Experience Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Resident Engineer on major building projects within the Middle East
- Proven delivery of large-scale, architecturally complex or iconic developments
- Strong site supervision and construction management expertise
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors
