Position Overview
This Senior Pumping Station Operator role involves operating and supervising pumping stations, wells, pumps, motors, valves, and control systems, monitoring operating parameters through SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems. You will lead equipment start-up, shutdown, and operational changeovers, conduct routine inspections, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot operational faults, support emergency response, and provide technical guidance to Operators.

 Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Supervision
- Operate and supervise pumping stations, wells, pumps, motors, valves, and control systems
- Monitor operating parameters through SCADA, instrumentation, and control systems
- Lead equipment start-up, shutdown, switching, and operational changeovers
Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Emergency Response
- Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment abnormalities
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot operational faults and support emergency response
Team Supervision & Compliance
- Monitor alarms, operational logs, and shift reports
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Operators
- Ensure compliance with operational and HSE procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High School/Technical Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Water Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
- Experience in water pumping stations, wells, water transmission, or utility operations
- Previous team supervision/lead operator experience preferred
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and pipelines
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, telemetry, and industrial control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
