Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & ELV Systems Supervision
- Oversee the complete installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems including CCTV surveillance, access control, structured cabling networks, public address systems, SMATV distribution, intercom systems, and all associated ELV components
- Ensure all ELV installation work is carried out strictly in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, project specifications, and DP World’s engineering quality standards — maintaining zero tolerance for non-compliant work
- Monitor daily site activities across all ELV work fronts — providing clear technical direction to technicians, subcontractors, and installation crews to ensure consistent quality and schedule adherence throughout the project
- Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and system integration of ELV systems in support of the Commissioning Engineer — verifying that all installed systems operate reliably and meet the technical performance requirements defined in project specifications
Coordination, Communication & Multi-Discipline Interface
- Coordinate actively with civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams across the project — proactively identifying and resolving potential site conflicts before they impact the ELV installation program or require costly rework
- Attend site progress meetings with main contractors, specialist subcontractors, consultants, and DP World client representatives — representing the ELV scope professionally and contributing accurate, timely progress information
- Communicate material and manpower requirements clearly and in advance to the project engineer and project manager — ensuring procurement, logistics, and resourcing are aligned with the construction program at all times
- Build and maintain positive, professional working relationships with all project stakeholders — clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors — contributing to a collaborative site culture that accelerates project delivery
Technical Documentation & QA/QC Compliance
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily progress reports, comprehensive site logs, and up-to-date red-line drawings — ensuring complete, audit-ready documentation of all ELV installation activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and functional test reports for ELV systems — contributing technical site knowledge to documentation that must meet consultant approval and client acceptance standards
- Carry out regular site inspections with consultants and client representatives — proactively identifying non-conformances, raising NCRs where required, and ensuring all corrective actions are implemented and verified promptly
- Ensure all ELV works maintain full compliance with project QA/QC standards — applying structured inspection and testing protocols that verify quality at every stage of installation before advancing to the next work phase
Health & Safety — HSE Enforcement
- Enforce DP World’s site safety policies, HSE regulations, and project-specific safety plans across all ELV installation activities — taking personal responsibility for the safety of every technician, subcontractor, and visitor within the ELV work area
- Report hazards, safety incidents, and near misses promptly and accurately through DP World’s HSE reporting system — supporting a proactive, transparent, and improvement-focused safety culture across the project team
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and inductions for ELV installation crews — ensuring all personnel understand and consistently apply the HSE requirements applicable to their specific work activities
Material & Resource Management
- Verify all material deliveries on site against approved Material Approval Requests (MARs) — ensuring that only compliant, approved materials are incorporated into ELV installations and that any non-compliant deliveries are promptly rejected
- Manage tools, equipment, and materials on site efficiently — maintaining organized, secure, and auditable material storage that supports smooth, uninterrupted ELV installation progress
- Monitor ELV material consumption against the project program — identifying potential shortfalls or surpluses early and communicating requirements to the project manager with sufficient lead time to avoid installation delays
