Position Overview
Airalo is looking for a Strategy Director to join its growing Strategy team and become a driver in shaping the strategic direction of the company. This position will support driving critical strategic initiatives and contribute to the company’s growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy consulting or a similar role, demonstrating exceptional leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of business strategy and business planning.
Why This Role Matters: As Strategy Director at Airalo, you conduct in-depth market analysis and financial modeling to support critical strategic decisions, own the design and evolution of the company-wide OKR framework, support M&A strategy development including due diligence and financial analysis, facilitate communication between the executive team and the board of directors, help maintain investor relationships and an always up-to-date pitch deck and data room, and work fully remote with a transparent, competitive salary of £100,500-£136,500 per year (UK range).
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Planning & Execution
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support strategic decision-making, including market analysis and financial modeling
- Oversee the implementation of the PMO driving strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments
- Manage strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery of desired outcomes
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities for expansion and growth
Performance Management & OKRs
- Own the design and evolution of the OKR framework
- Drive company-wide OKR cycles, including setting, alignment, and tracking
- Support and lead monthly and quarterly business reviews (MBRs/QBRs)
- Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions with stakeholders
Corporate Development & M&A
- Support the preparation of investor materials and participate in investor meetings as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential investors and strategic partners
- Support the development of M&A strategy and framework, including due diligence and financial analysis
Investor Relations
- Facilitate communication between the executive team and the board of directors
- Prepare and distribute materials for board meetings, including agendas, reports, and presentations
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance shareholder value and promote confidence in the organization
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, or engineering
- 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a related field, with a focus on technology or telecommunications
- Demonstrated experience in M&A transactions, due diligence, financial modeling, and strategic planning
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Experience or exposure to global consumer technology companies
