Position Overview
The Supplier Compliance Specialist at Qatar Airways Catering Services plays a vital and highly visible role in protecting the quality, safety, and integrity of the airline’s global supply chain. You will manage supplier risk assessments and conduct compliance audits, validate food safety and halal certifications, monitor manufacturing and quality processes, support product recall procedures, and prepare detailed compliance reports — all while collaborating with Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Catering teams to ensure full compliance integration across one of the world’s most demanding aviation catering operations.

Key Responsibilities
Supplier Risk Assessment & Audit Management
- Manage comprehensive supplier risk assessments and conduct compliance audits across Qatar Airways’ global supply chain network
- Validate supplier certifications, food safety standards, halal compliance, and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Identify poorly performing vendors and recommend targeted corrective and preventative actions to improve supply chain quality
- Participate in vendor onboarding, supplier briefings, and technical evaluations to ensure new suppliers meet Qatar Airways’ standards
Quality Monitoring & Product Inspection
- Monitor manufacturing and quality processes across supplier facilities including product sampling and AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspections
- Support the development of product recall processes and execute all necessary product tests as required
- Monitor material standards and ensure all catering products meet Qatar Airways’ stringent quality and specification requirements
- Provide detailed analytical insights on supplier performance trends and risk indicators to support management decision-making
Compliance Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare detailed audit reports and actively support Qatar Airways’ due diligence defense in all compliance-related cases
- Produce annual Compliance and Quality Assurance reports and maintain fully up-to-date audit documentation records
- Support implementation of Qatar Airways’ food safety policies and environmental management objectives across the supply chain
- Use Power BI, Microsoft Office tools, and data analysis capabilities to generate actionable compliance insights and reports
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Catering teams to ensure seamless compliance integration across all functions
- Collaborate with international suppliers, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous quality improvement
- Support the implementation of the Supplier Assurance Strategy to maintain the highest levels of compliance across all supplier categories
- Assist with emergency response or major operational disruptions as required to protect supply chain continuity
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma / Vocational Qualification or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Food Safety, Quality Management, and Compliance within a recognized organization
- Additional certifications in food safety auditing, halal compliance, or supply chain quality management are highly advantageous
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Proven experience managing Quality Assurance programs and conducting comprehensive supplier audits in food or aviation catering environments
- Strong understanding of halal requirements, food product sampling methodologies, and AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) standards
- Strong data interpretation and analytical skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and Power BI dashboards
- Familiarity with aviation catering regulations, food safety frameworks, and international supply chain compliance standards

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities across diverse international teams and supplier networks
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask across competing priorities, and operate independently with minimal supervision
