Position Overview
This Supply Chain Analyst role in Fridolfing, Bavaria is a strategically important position within an internationally operating production business. You will be embedded in the core project team, taking ownership of the efficient operation of the complete supply chain value chain — from raw material and component supply through to production line readiness and finished goods availability. A central focus of the role is the planning and control of new product introductions (NPI) — ensuring every new product transitions smoothly from development through to series production without supply disruptions. Alongside NPI responsibility, you will drive continuous supply chain process improvements, manage cross-functional collaboration with procurement, production planning, quality, and sales teams, and ensure a reliable, uninterrupted flow of all materials required to keep production running at optimal efficiency.
Why This Role Matters: As Supply Chain Analyst in Fridolfing, your analytical work and operational decisions directly determine whether production lines run on time, whether new products launch without supply gaps, and whether the company achieves its cost and delivery performance targets. In a production-oriented manufacturing environment where supply chain reliability is a competitive advantage, your contribution as an experienced, results-driven SCM analyst creates measurable impact across the entire business — from supplier to customer.
Key Responsibilities
Core Project Team Participation & Process Coordination
- Actively participate in the core project team — coordinating internal supply chain processes across production, procurement, quality, and commercial functions to ensure aligned operational execution.
- Serve as the central supply chain interface within the project team — providing data-driven analysis, supply chain status updates, and risk identification to support project decision-making.
- Coordinate supply chain activities across multiple internal departments to ensure that project milestones, production timelines, and delivery commitments are met consistently.
- Prepare structured supply chain reports, risk assessments, and performance analyses that provide management with clear visibility over value chain efficiency and improvement opportunities.
Supply Chain Value Chain Management
- Take full responsibility for the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the entire supply chain value chain — from supplier material availability through to production readiness and finished goods dispatch.
- Monitor and manage supply chain performance across all value chain stages — identifying bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies and driving targeted corrective actions to restore and improve performance.
- Ensure a continuous, reliable supply of all preliminary materials, supplier components, raw materials, auxiliary materials, and operating supplies required to sustain uninterrupted production operations.
- Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs and performance dashboards that enable proactive management of supply risks, inventory levels, and delivery performance targets.
New Product Introduction Planning & Control
- Plan, control, and manage the supply chain activities associated with the introduction of new products — ensuring all supply chain elements are ready for full series production on schedule.
- Coordinate supplier qualification, component sourcing, and material availability planning for all new product launches from early development stage through to series production readiness.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks during the NPI phase — proactively addressing potential supplier gaps, lead time constraints, or material specification changes before they impact launch timelines.
- Collaborate with product management and assembly process development teams to align supply chain planning with product engineering milestones and production ramp-up schedules.
Supply Chain Process Optimisation
- Continuously analyse and optimise supply chain processes with a clear focus on achieving the optimal balance between total supply chain costs and reliable, competitive delivery times.
- Lead and support process optimisation projects across the supply chain — applying structured project management and analytical methods to deliver measurable efficiency improvements.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives in collaboration with purchasing, production planning, and logistics teams — documenting results and scaling successful improvements.
- Apply lean, data-driven, and results-oriented working methods to evaluate supply chain performance and drive meaningful, sustainable improvements across the value chain.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely and effectively with product management, quality management, assembly process development, purchasing, production planning, and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
- Communicate supply chain status, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders — adapting communication style for both technical and commercial audiences.
- Build productive working relationships with key suppliers and international partners — maintaining open, proactive communication to support supply continuity and process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a results-oriented team culture through strong teamwork, constructive knowledge sharing, and a consistently analytical and solution-focused approach to supply chain challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration (Betriebswirtschaft), Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), or a closely related discipline is the primary educational requirement.
- Alternatively, a completed Master Craftsman (Meister) or Certified Specialist (Fachwirt) qualification combined with strong relevant professional experience in production supply chain management will also be considered.
Experience Requirements
- Several years of substantial professional experience in production-oriented supply chain management within an internationally operating manufacturing company — this is a firmly expected requirement.
- Ideally, proven experience leading or significantly contributing to supply chain process optimisation projects with demonstrable, measurable efficiency and cost improvement results.
