- Receive work scopes and shop visit requests from CAMO or Component Planning teams and translate them into detailed, executable maintenance plans
- Prepare comprehensive Gantt chart-based schedules for all shop visits, clearly defining milestones, resource allocations, and TAT targets for each work package
- Plan, allocate, and communicate clear daily work assignments and production targets to workshop technicians at the start of each working day
- Monitor actual progress against planned schedules continuously and adjust plans dynamically to protect TAT commitments when deviations are identified
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate proactively with Quality, Logistics, Tooling, and Stores departments to ensure the timely availability of required parts, tools, consumables, and technical documentation
- Participate actively in daily planning meetings and cross-department coordination sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Escalate issues with potential to cause schedule delays — including material shortages, unexpected findings, and manpower constraints — to relevant managers immediately
- Plan and manage materials, consumables, and tooling requirements for all active and upcoming workshop maintenance activities
AMOS System Management & WIP Tracking
- Track all work-in-progress (WIP) across the workshop and maintain accurate, real-time updates within the AMOS maintenance management system
- Manage AMOS-CROM and CMP projects throughout their full lifecycle, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity at every stage
- Generate system-based scheduling reports and resource utilisation dashboards to support management decision-making and operational transparency
- Support the adoption and optimisation of AMOS functionality to continuously improve workshop planning efficiency and scheduling accuracy
TAT Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare detailed post-visit performance reports analysing turnaround time (TAT), actual vs planned labor hours, delays, non-routine findings, and corrective actions taken
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing workshop scheduling efficiency, resource utilisation, and overall MRO productivity
- Analyse planning data to identify recurring delay patterns and propose process improvements that reduce TAT and increase workshop throughput
- Present planning performance metrics and improvement recommendations to management and cross-functional stakeholders in a clear, structured format
People Management & Team Development
- Provide direction, coaching, and professional development guidance to planning team members, supporting their career growth within the MRO environment

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- Proficiency in building and managing Gantt charts and detailed maintenance schedules using industry-standard tools
- Awareness of human factors principles as they apply to aircraft maintenance activities and workshop planning decisions
Work Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in workshop maintenance planning within an airline, MRO, or aviation component repair environment
- Proven, practical experience using AMOS maintenance management software — AMOS is strongly preferred; TRAX experience also considered
- Demonstrated experience using project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera for detailed schedule management
- Familiarity with airline or MRO operations, standard maintenance procedures, airworthiness documentation, and technical work order management
Technical & Communication Skills
