Position Overview
The Quality Executive at this leading Oman beverage manufacturing company is a full-time, hands-on quality control and assurance role responsible for monitoring beverage product quality across production lines, conducting laboratory testing of key parameters including Brix, pH, CO₂, acidity and TDS, ensuring compliance with HACCP, GMP and CCP food safety requirements, maintaining complete and accurate quality documentation, and managing quality deviations through structured root cause analysis. This professional applies their BSc or MSc-level education in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science or Microbiology to the practical daily quality challenges of beverage FMCG manufacturing in Oman — contributing directly to product quality, food safety compliance and consumer protection across the company’s beverage portfolio.
Why This Role Matters: In beverage manufacturing, the Quality Executive is the trained scientific eye on the production line — the person who catches a Brix deviation before a non-conforming product batch is released, the analyst who interprets a CO₂ result and identifies a carbonation process issue before it impacts shelf life, and the food safety professional who ensures HACCP critical control points are monitored, documented and acted upon every single shift. In Oman’s growing beverage manufacturing sector, the Quality Executive in this role is the last line of scientific defence between the production process and the consumer — and every beverage that leaves this facility meeting specification is a direct result of their expertise, diligence and professional commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Quality Control & Laboratory Testing
- Perform comprehensive quality control checks across the beverage production line — monitoring all critical quality parameters including Brix, pH, CO₂, acidity, TDS and other relevant beverage quality indicators at defined checkpoints throughout each production shift.
- Conduct laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished beverage products — applying accurate, standardized analytical testing methods and calibrated laboratory instruments to generate reliable, reproducible quality data across all beverage products.
- Monitor carbonation levels, sugar content, pH balance, acidity profiles and dissolved solids across all beverage formulations and production runs — ensuring every quality parameter consistently meets the established product specifications and food safety requirements.
- Perform or support microbiological quality testing of beverage samples and production environment swabs — contributing to the microbial quality assurance program that protects beverage product safety and shelf life integrity.
HACCP, GMP, CCP & Food Safety Compliance
- Implement and monitor HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols across beverage production — actively monitoring critical control points, recording CCP data accurately and taking immediate corrective action whenever CCP limits are exceeded during production.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and food safety standards across all production, laboratory and quality activities — monitoring personnel hygiene, equipment cleanliness, facility conditions and process adherence against established GMP requirements.
- Maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready quality documentation — including HACCP monitoring records, quality check reports, CCP logs, non-conformance reports and corrective action records — in full compliance with the company’s quality management system requirements.
Root Cause Analysis & Quality Deviation Management
- Manage quality deviations and non-conformances professionally — identifying, documenting and isolating non-conforming beverage products promptly, preventing substandard products from progressing through the production line or reaching consumers in Oman and GCC markets.
- Conduct structured root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring quality issues, production deviations and food safety incidents — applying systematic problem-solving methods to identify underlying causes and implement sustainable, verifiable corrective and preventive actions.
- Report quality performance data, deviation trends and corrective action status to quality management — providing timely, accurate quality intelligence that enables informed production and quality management decisions across the beverage manufacturing operation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology or a closely related scientific discipline — providing the foundational analytical and food science knowledge required for effective quality control in a beverage FMCG manufacturing environment in Oman.
Experience Requirements
- Hands-on experience in beverage or FMCG manufacturing quality control and/or quality assurance — with practical, production-floor-level familiarity with beverage QC processes, laboratory testing methods and quality compliance documentation requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of HACCP, GMP, CCP and food safety standards in a beverage or food FMCG production environment — able to monitor, document and enforce food safety requirements independently from day one.
- Proven experience with beverage quality parameters including Brix, pH, CO₂, acidity and TDS — with hands-on proficiency in the testing instruments and analytical methods used to measure these parameters in a beverage production laboratory.
