Position Overview
This Senior Process Technologist role is responsible for overseeing product specifications, regulatory compliance, product registrations, and labelling requirements across the UAE and GCC markets. You will manage product registrations with SFDA, Dubai Municipality, and other GCC regulatory authorities, ensure specifications and labelling documentation remain accurate and audit-ready, oversee labelling compliance including Arabic translations, and work closely with Quality, Vendor Assurance, Procurement, and Operations to resolve specification and compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Product Registration Management
- Manage product registrations with SFDA, Dubai Municipality, and other GCC regulatory authorities
- Ensure specifications, production routings, nutritional information, and labelling documentation remain accurate and current
- Oversee the labelling compliance process, including Arabic translations, artwork verification, and regulatory requirements
Audit Readiness & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure the Specifications function remains audit-ready for BRCGS, Dubai Municipality, customer, and internal audits
- Work closely with Quality, Vendor Assurance, Procurement, Operations, and suppliers on compliance matters
- Provide cross-functional coordination through regular meetings with Quality Operations, suppliers, and stakeholders
Team Management & Labelling Efficiency
- Manage task delegation, workload management, career development, and training for team efficiency
- Implement efficient labelling processes at FP, ensuring accurate, compliant, and streamlined label creation
- Conduct thorough data validation and sign-off for all labelling procedures
Specifications, Audits & Digitalization
- Capture necessary data for labelling and specifications in upcoming product launches
- Verify and finalize raw materials and finished goods specifications for consistent quality
- Prepare specifications and labels for audits, and conduct internal audits on routing and labelling
- Attend meetings to address specification challenges and validate meal specifications through sensory sessions
- Drive digitalization of Food Point specifications through Specification Management Software
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field
- Specialized certifications in food processing, quality control, or food safety may be beneficial
- Advanced degrees may be preferred for certain positions
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in food processing or a related field, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of food production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance
- Proven experience managing processing operations and ensuring product quality and safety
- Familiarity with food safety management systems, HACCP principles, and industry best practices
- Experience developing and implementing processing strategies and standards
- Track record leading cross-functional teams and managing projects
- Knowledge of food regulations, labelling requirements, and industry trends
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
