Position Overview
This Senior Logistics Controller role in Münster involves improving performance and value drivers across the end-to-end logistics process, from goods receipt through to transportation. You will define and standardise logistics KPIs, allocate process costs to operational drivers, build a centralised logistics performance and cost database, develop BI-based reporting solutions, and support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance analysis to provide management with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
Performance & Value Driver Improvement
- Improve performance and value drivers across the end-to-end logistics process, from goods receipt through to transportation
- Define and standardise logistics KPIs, measurement points, and calculation methodologies
Cost Allocation & Financial Insight
- Allocate process costs to operational drivers, identifying savings and quantifying the financial impact of improvements
- Partner with Logistics, Operations, and Controlling to translate operational developments into financial insights
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Build and maintain a centralised logistics performance and cost database
- Develop scalable BI-based reporting solutions, ideally using Microsoft Power BI
- Establish standardised reporting structures for benchmarking across logistics locations
Budgeting, Forecasting & Decision Support
- Drive transparency around material flows, productivity, cost efficiency, and operational performance
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance analysis
- Provide management with actionable insights to support cost optimisation and decision-making
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or comparable
Experience Requirements
- Several years’ experience in Controlling, ideally within Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
- Experience translating operational processes into financial and performance drivers
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cost structures, KPI development, performance management, and profitability analysis
- Strong analytical skills with large, complex data sets
- Experience with BI and reporting tools, ideally Power BI
- Good understanding of ERP and financial data structures; SAP advantageous
Soft Skills
- Proactive, commercially minded approach to efficiency and cost optimisation
- Strong communication skills, confident partnering across Finance, Logistics, and Operations
