About the Role
Rixos began in Turkey in 2000 and is known for its “ALL Inclusive, ALL Exclusive” concept, with global cuisine, entertainment, spa and wellness. As a Commis you will run your own station: prepare its inventory list, follow standard recipes and plating guides, check goods received for quality and quantity, keep food waste down without cutting quality and apply HACCP to the hotel standard. You should also be able to cover another station when a colleague is absent.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the station inventory list and daily market list, and check goods received
- Follow standard recipes and plating guides at all times
- Check food quantity, quality and labels before and during buffet service
- Control wastage and suggest improvements to systems and procedures
- Apply HACCP standards and keep records and logbooks up to date
- Help explain dishes to guests and recommend specialties or promotions
- Leave equipment clean and safe, and brief the next shift
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality
- 1-2 years’ experience in a 4-5 star hotel
- Basic overall kitchen knowledge to cover other stations
- Good grooming, punctuality and a cooperative attitude
- Willingness to be flexible and assist other areas of the hotel
