Quality Supervisor Jobs Qatar 2026 | Beverage Manufacturing

We are hiring an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead day-to-day quality assurance and quality control operations at our beverage manufacturing facility in Doha, Qatar. This critical supervisory role oversees all quality activities from incoming materials through syrup preparation, blending, carbonation, filling, packaging, warehousing, and dispatch for carbonated soft drink (CSD) production.

Job Overview — Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for supervising QC technicians, enforcing GMP and HACCP controls, managing nonconformities and corrective actions, and ensuring consistent product quality across all critical parameters including Brix, CO₂ volumes, acidity, microbiology, and packaging integrity. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives and maintains audit readiness for food safety and quality certifications.

You will work in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment ensuring products meet food safety regulations, legal requirements, and internal quality standards while leading a team of quality control inspectors and laboratory technicians across production shifts.

Key Responsibilities

As Quality Supervisor for beverage manufacturing in Qatar, your responsibilities include:

1. Quality Operations & Production Line Control

  • Supervise quality control checks for syrup preparation, blending, carbonation, filling, and packaging operations
  • Ensure critical parameters are monitored and recorded: Brix/sugar concentration, CO₂ volumes/carbonation level, pH/acidity, temperature controls, fill height/net content, cap torque & seal integrity
  • Verify pack coding, label compliance, traceability, start-up approvals, in-process checks, and line clearance between SKUs
  • Conduct sensory evaluations (appearance, taste, odor) and manage retain sample programs
  • Monitor right-first-time release rates and batch acceptance percentages

2. Incoming Materials & Supplier Quality

  • Oversee inspection and release/rejection of raw materials: sugar, CO₂, flavors, concentrates, acids
  • Manage packaging materials quality: preforms/bottles, caps, labels, cartons, shrink film
  • Ensure proper sampling plans, Certificates of Analysis (COA) verification, quarantine controls
  • Manage supplier nonconformance reporting and corrective action follow-up

3. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, sanitation standards, and allergen controls
  • Support internal and external audits including ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 certifications and local regulatory inspections
  • Monitor hygiene practices, zoning controls, pest control checks, and environmental hygiene programs
  • Enforce glass and brittle plastic controls to prevent contamination
  • Maintain audit readiness with zero critical findings as key performance target

4. Laboratory & Testing Oversight

  • Supervise daily laboratory activities and testing schedules for physicochemical analysis: Brix, pH, titratable acidity, CO₂, turbidity/clarity, conductivity
  • Oversee microbiology testing programs: yeast/mold counts, total plate count, environmental swabs, water quality tests
  • Manage packaging testing: burst tests, leak detection, torque measurements, top load compression tests
  • Ensure proper calibration and verification of laboratory equipment including pH meters, refractometers, CO₂ testers, scales, thermometers
  • Review analytical results, trend key quality indicators, and escalate out-of-specification findings immediately

5. Nonconformance Management (NCR/CAPA)

  • Lead containment actions for nonconforming products: hold, segregation, rework, or disposal decisions
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, and other problem-solving tools
  • Implement and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with effectiveness checks
  • Manage deviation approvals and risk-based product disposition decisions
  • Track CAPA closure time and effectiveness as key performance metrics

6. Documentation & Traceability Management

  • Ensure accurate completion and filing of batch records, syrup logs, CCP/OPRP monitoring records
  • Maintain in-process inspection sheets, cleaning & sanitation verification records
  • Oversee calibration logs, training records, and quality management documentation
  • Ensure full product traceability and mock recall readiness (one step forward/one step back)
  • Maintain document control systems meeting international audit standards

7. Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and coach QC inspectors and laboratory technicians; assign daily tasks and manage shift coverage
  • Train production teams on quality standards, defect identification, and GMP/hygiene practices
  • Participate in performance reviews, support hiring, and conduct onboarding for new quality team members
  • Foster quality culture and employee engagement across production departments

8. Continuous Improvement & Quality KPIs

  • Monitor and reduce quality defects: leakers, low fill, label misplacement, off-taste, coding errors
  • Support improvement projects to minimize rework, waste, and customer complaints
  • Contribute to monthly quality KPIs and management reporting dashboards
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer complaint closure time and reduce defect rates

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate for this QA QC supervisor position in Qatar must meet:

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field

Experience Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within beverage manufacturing (carbonated soft drinks preferred)
  • 1–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role managing QC inspectors and laboratory staff
  • Hands-on experience with CSD processing including syrup preparation, blending, carbonation, and filling operations
  • Proven track record in HACCP/GMP implementation and food safety system maintenance

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of carbonated soft drink processing, quality parameters, and production line operations
  • Deep understanding of HACCP principles, GMP requirements, and food safety management systems (ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 preferred)
  • Expertise in packaging quality control and line defect troubleshooting (leakers, fill variations, cap defects, labeling issues)
  • Proficiency in physicochemical and microbiological testing methods for beverages
  • Experience with calibration management and laboratory equipment verification
