Position Overview
This Assistant Hygiene Manager role in Qatar sits at the heart of hospitality food safety operations. - Lead and conduct comprehensive QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) audits across hospitality operations
- Identify non-conformances, document findings, and follow up to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare detailed audit reports for senior management with clear recommendations for compliance improvement
- Stay current with Qatar’s evolving food safety regulations and ensure operational practices remain fully compliant
Food Safety Training & Development
- Design, conduct, and evaluate structured food safety training programmes for all levels of hospitality staff
- Ensure all team members understand and consistently apply food hygiene best practices in their daily roles
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and competency assessments for regulatory purposes
- Support staff in preparing for and successfully completing Qatar Chamber food safety certification examinations
Hygiene Operations & Compliance
- Monitor day-to-day hygiene standards across kitchens, food storage areas, service outlets, and back-of-house operations
- Implement and enforce cleaning schedules, sanitation protocols, and pest control measures in line with FSSC 22000 requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and swab testing to verify hygiene standards are being maintained consistently
- Liaise with Qatar’s regulatory authorities and ensure the organisation is audit-ready at all times
Team Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support the Hygiene Manager in all aspects of departmental planning, reporting, and operational decision-making
- Work closely with kitchen, F&B, housekeeping, and stewarding teams to embed a strong hygiene culture organisation-wide
- Provide guidance and coaching to line managers on food safety compliance and best practice implementation
- Contribute to the development and review of hygiene policies, standard operating procedures, and food safety management systems
Required Qualifications & Certifications

- Currently based in Qatar and available to join the new role immediately
- Active experience working as a Hygiene Manager or Assistant Hygiene Manager within the hospitality sector
- Solid, demonstrable experience conducting QHSE audits in a hospitality or food service environment
