Position Overview
The Quality Team Leader at Pepsi Cola Saudi Arabia is responsible for leading and overseeing all daily quality operations across the plant. This includes supervising quality activities across production lines, laboratories, the syrup room, and water treatment operations. You will ensure full compliance with quality, food safety, and operational standards; train and develop the quality team; participate in internal and external audits; monitor quality KPIs; and actively support product launches, process optimisation, and cost-saving initiatives. This role demands a confident quality leader with strong beverage industry experience and deep knowledge of FSSC 22000, AIBI, and QAS systems.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Quality Operations Leadership
- Lead and oversee all daily quality operations across the plant to ensure efficient, compliant, and consistent quality processes at every stage
- Supervise quality activities across production lines, laboratories, the syrup room, and water treatment operations throughout each shift
- Ensure product quality and operational excellence through a culture of continuous improvement and proactive quality management
- Monitor quality from incoming raw materials all the way through to finished goods — maintaining full traceability and compliance at every step
Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with quality, food safety, and operational standards including FSSC 22000, AIBI, QAS, and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Participate actively in internal and external quality and food safety audits and drive effective corrective and preventive actions to closure
- Maintain all food safety documentation, records, and quality management system requirements in audit-ready condition at all times
- Support management of food safety incidents, deviations, and non-conformances with structured root cause analysis and corrective action plans
Team Leadership, Training & Development
- Train, develop, and mentor the quality team to build technical capability and food safety awareness across all quality functions
- Monitor individual and team performance against defined quality standards and KPIs, providing regular feedback and coaching
- Foster a quality-first mindset and a high-performance culture within the quality team and across the wider plant
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new quality team members as required by the quality department
Quality KPIs, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor quality KPIs across all plant operations and prepare clear, accurate, and actionable performance reports for management
- Support product launches, process optimisation projects, and cost-saving initiatives through active quality leadership and technical input
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant to reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and elevate product quality
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree — Food Science or a related field is strongly preferred for this role
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in beverage manufacturing, food manufacturing, or water treatment plant quality operations
- Strong practical knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems — specifically FSSC 22000, AIBI, and QAS

- Strong leadership and team management skills — proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop quality teams in a plant environment
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across quality, production, and management teams at all levels
