Position Overview
This Executive — Product Innovation (NPD) role in Dubai is a full-time, on-site position embedded within the company’s New Product Development function, reporting directly to the Head of NPD. You will own the end-to-end development of new food and beverage products — from initial ideation and concept creation, through formulation, shelf life studies, supplier sourcing, and plant trials, all the way to commercial scale-up and market launch. The role requires hands-on expertise in food technology, a strong understanding of F&B global and regional trends, proficiency in ORACLE for recipe management, and the cross-functional coordination skills to liaise effectively between production, marketing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities
New Product Development — Concept to Commercial Launch
- Develop new products and improve existing ones from the initial concept stage through formulation, trial, refinement, and final commercial market launch
- Assimilate global and regional F&B trends to generate innovative product concepts that meet consumer demand and align with the company’s brand strategy
- Manage pre-launch storage studies and shelf life evaluations for all new products to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance before commercial release
- Conduct product scaling-up activities in collaboration with internal and external manufacturing plants to ensure consistent quality during commercial production
Manufacturing Process Development & Optimization
- Ensure process development and optimization within manufacturing plants to deliver consistent, high-quality product outputs that align with NPD specifications
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to scale R&D product designs into efficient, repeatable, and commercially viable production processes
- Identify opportunities for recipe optimization and value engineering that reduce costs without compromising product quality, taste, or consumer appeal
- Maintain optimum and consistent manufacturing processes across all production facilities to ensure uniform product quality and regulatory compliance
Raw Material & Packaging Sourcing
- Search for and evaluate new suppliers to source ingredients (raw materials) and packaging materials that complement and enhance the company’s existing product range
- Develop and manage raw material and packaging material specifications — including selection criteria, quality benchmarks, and supplier recommendation documentation
- Maintain Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and specification sheets for all new ingredients in the initial development and launch stages
- Ensure all sourced ingredients and packaging materials meet applicable food safety regulations, quality standards, and consumer labelling requirements in the UAE
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the NPD liaison between production, marketing, and quality assurance departments to produce desired products at acceptable quality standards and on defined timelines
- Coordinate NPD project milestones and communications across internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure smooth and timely product development execution
- Present NPD concepts, progress updates, and commercialization recommendations to the Head of NPD and senior leadership clearly and effectively
- Apply strong customer-centric thinking to ensure that every new product development decision is grounded in consumer needs, market relevance, and business value
ORACLE Documentation & Recipe Management
- Document and update all recipes, routings, and formulas in the ORACLE ERP system accurately and in a timely manner throughout each product development project
- Maintain COA and ingredient specification sheets within ORACLE for all new materials introduced during the development process
- Ensure all NPD documentation — from concept briefs to technical specifications — is organized, complete, and accessible to all relevant cross-functional stakeholders
- Support compliance with food regulations and documentation standards by maintaining precise, audit-ready NPD records throughout the product lifecycle
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Food Science, or a closely related technical discipline
- Additional certifications or training in food regulations, quality management, or new product development processes are a clear advantage
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in New Product Development (NPD), Research and Development (R&D), or product innovation within the F&B or food manufacturing sector
- Demonstrated ability to take products independently from concept ideation through to successful commercial manufacturing scale-up and market launch
- Practical experience using ORACLE or a comparable ERP system for recipe management, formula documentation, and specification maintenance is a strong advantage

- Strong food technology knowledge with an understanding of current and emerging global and regional F&B trends and consumer insights
- Solid understanding of food regulations, labelling requirements, and ingredient compliance standards applicable to the UAE and MENA region
