Position Overview
The Accounting Supervisor at Guarantee Travel is a leadership-focused financial role responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of all financial records across Dubai and Amman operations. You will supervise the daily work of the accounting team, review and approve accounting entries and reconciliations, lead monthly and annual closing processes, and ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations and IFRS standards. Beyond operational accuracy, this role drives process improvements, strengthens internal controls, and supports the Finance Manager and CFO with meaningful financial analysis and decision-making insights.

Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Accounting Leadership
- Supervise, guide, and review the daily work of Accountants and Senior Accountants across Dubai and Amman operations
- Assign tasks, manage workload distribution, and ensure all accounting deadlines are consistently met by the team
- Review and approve accounting entries, reconciliations, and all supporting documentation prepared by team members
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to develop the skills and capabilities of the accounting team
- Ensure consistent application of accounting policies, procedures, and standards across the full accounting function
Daily Accounting Operations & ERP Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions in the ERP system (Maxis Cloud)
- Review and validate Receipt Vouchers (RVs), Payment Vouchers (PVs), and Journal Vouchers (JVs) prepared by the team
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes for accuracy, completeness, and operational efficiency
- Ensure proper handling of pending transactions, accruals, and non-invoiced services across both entity operations
Month-End Closing, Reconciliations & Financial Reporting
- Lead and ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in line with company timelines
- Review and approve bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, POS and cash reconciliations, and intercompany reconciliations
- Oversee preparation of management reports including P&L summaries, balance sheet reports, and monthly closing packs
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial reports before submission to management and the Finance Manager / CFO
Compliance, Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Ensure full compliance with UAE tax regulations and IFRS financial reporting standards in all accounting activities
- Review and approve tax reports before submission to relevant UAE tax authorities
- Strengthen and continuously monitor internal controls to reduce financial risk and protect company assets
- Ensure all financial documentation is complete, organized, and fully audit-ready at all times
- Identify gaps in accounting processes and implement improvements that standardize procedures across Dubai and Amman offices
- Support automation and efficiency improvements in financial workflows using ERP capabilities and best-practice methodologies
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related academic field
- Professional certification strongly preferred — CPA, ACCA, or CMA qualification adds significant advantage
Experience Requirements
- 6 to 8+ years of progressive accounting experience covering the full accounting cycle and closing processes
- Proven experience supervising or leading accounting staff in a structured team environment
- Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations, IFRS financial reporting standards, and international accounting best practices
- Strong ERP experience — Maxis Cloud or comparable systems used in multi-entity accounting environments
