Key Responsibilities
Technical & Commercial Project Leadership
- Lead the technical and commercial success of individual projects or groups of facility projects from planning through execution
- Review and implement maintenance schedules, engineering specifications, and process flows to ensure efficient and compliant facility operations
- Optimise service delivery processes across the facility to improve operational efficiency and overall client satisfaction
- Design facility-specific control systems to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards and company procedures
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Management
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Landscaping systems to maintain uninterrupted facility operations
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for equipment and facility assets to support procurement, replacement, and upgrade decisions
- Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives and management control systems to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce operational expenses
- Respond promptly to emergencies and client requests, escalating issues to the Facilities Manager when required to ensure rapid resolution
Contractor, Vendor & Team Management
- Evaluate contractor and supplier performance regularly, draft improvement plans, and ensure consistent follow-up to maintain service standards
- Supervise in-house technical teams for installations, repairs, and ongoing maintenance activities across all assigned facility systems
- Coordinate vendor and contractor activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standard
- Build strong working relationships with external service partners while maintaining accountability for overall facility performance
Client Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely client reporting on facility performance, maintenance activities, and progress against agreed plans
- Support Facilities Managers in meeting budgets through proactive cost management and resource planning across assigned facilities
- Build trust and accountability with both Facilities Managers and clients through consistent, transparent communication and reliable delivery
- Balance corporate procedures with client-specific requirements while managing high-pressure demands and shifting client priorities
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering — Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or equivalent certification is preferred and highly valued for this role
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities management or engineering, including demonstrated supervisory responsibilities
- Strong exposure to client management, budgeting, and service delivery within a facilities management or engineering environment
- Solid knowledge of building systems, technical installations, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities — proven capability to supervise in-house technical teams effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills for client-facing and internal stakeholder engagement
