Position Overview
This Supply Chain & SIOP Manager role at HBK’s Darmstadt production facility is a full-time, senior leadership position at the intersection of strategic supply chain management and operational planning excellence. You will lead the end-to-end SIOP process — aligning demand, supply, and inventory at a local level while collaborating with global functions including GlobalCustomerCare and GlobalOrderManagement. The role spans inventory management, demand and supply balancing, global logistics oversight, order fulfilment, capacity planning, and cross-functional alignment with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Trade Compliance, and Commercial teams. It requires a strong understanding of SAP and IBP planning systems, proven SIOP or IBP process leadership, excellent bilingual communication in both German and English, and the leadership capability to develop and grow a local supply chain and planning team. Key Responsibilities
SIOP Process Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end SIOP process — ensuring consistent alignment of demand, supply, and inventory planning at local levels across HBK’s Darmstadt production facility
- Produce detailed capacity plans, identify supply and demand gaps, and drive structured mitigation actions in collaboration with GlobalCustomerCare, GlobalOrderManagement, and manufacturing
- Enable structured prioritization frameworks and proactive risk management in close collaboration with all relevant functional stakeholders
- Ensure the SIOP process delivers reliable, data-driven decision-making inputs that support HBK’s customer delivery commitments and financial performance targets
Supply Chain Strategy & Performance Optimization
- Drive supply chain strategy, performance improvement, maturity development, and process optimization across all relevant business functions
- Ensure inventory management excellence — maintaining optimal stock levels, healthy inventory aging profiles, and robust provisioning governance across the production facility
- Leverage SAP, IBP, and other data-driven planning tools to make evidence-based supply chain decisions that continuously improve operational outcomes
- Identify, develop, and implement supply chain improvement initiatives that reduce cost, increase reliability, and enhance overall customer experience
Logistics & Order Fulfilment Management
- Oversee global logistics operating models — managing the complete flow from inventory and production through to timely and accurate customer delivery
- Ensure efficient, fully compliant import and export processes, logistics best practices, and trade compliance requirements are consistently applied
- Secure timely and accurate customer order fulfilment across the entire value chain — from order receipt through planning, production, and final delivery
- Monitor and continuously improve logistics performance metrics, carrier relationships, and delivery lead times across HBK’s global customer base
Operational Execution & Exception Management
- Identify and rapidly resolve operational challenges in the short-term planning horizon (M+0 to M+3) to protect customer delivery commitments
- Manage supply chain exceptions, customer and supplier claims, and escalations in alignment with HBK’s policies and global operational guidelines
- Maintain close operational visibility across planning, logistics, and order fulfilment to anticipate and prevent disruptions before they impact customers
- Apply strong analytical capabilities and operational discipline to manage complexity in a fast-moving, globally integrated manufacturing environment
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Standardization
- Partner actively with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Global Customer Care, Trade Compliance, IT, Finance, and Commercial teams to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes
- Support the standardization of global business processes — contributing HBK Darmstadt’s operational insights to group-wide process improvement and digitalization initiatives
- Build strong working relationships with global functions to ensure local execution aligns seamlessly with HBK’s globally integrated operating model and strategic objectives
- Communicate supply chain performance, risks, and improvement plans clearly and effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in both German and English
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop the local Supply Chain & SIOP team — spanning planning and logistics functions — ensuring the right capabilities, mindset, and performance culture are in place

Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Qualifications
- Solid experience in supply chain management — covering planning, logistics, and inventory optimization across manufacturing or technology industry environments
- Proven expertise in leading SIOP or IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes at local or global scale within a matrix organization
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with ERP and planning systems — particularly SAP and SAP IBP — and a data-driven approach to supply chain decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in matrix organizations, collaborating across multiple functions, business units, and international geographies
Language Requirements
