Strategic Agronomy Sales Growth
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow agronomy sales and services — identifying new grower prospects, expanding existing account relationships, and increasing crop input revenue
- Work closely with agronomy sales staff to develop grower-specific sales strategies that align the company’s crop input portfolio with each farm’s agronomic needs and profitability goals
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with growers — becoming their most valued agronomic advisor and preferred crop input partner across the Calmar, Iowa region
- Stay current with crop input pricing, competitor activity, and market trends — providing leadership with commercially informed recommendations to maintain a competitive market position
Crop Scouting, Soil Sampling & Precision Ag Services

Compliance, Safety & Industry Development
- Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines applicable to crop input sales, application services, and agronomic field activities in Iowa
- Stay current with evolving industry trends, new technologies, agronomic research, and regulatory developments — sharing relevant updates with the team to keep agronomic recommendations current and credible

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional agronomy experience — covering crop production consultancy, fertiliser and chemical sales, or precision agriculture services
- Leadership or management experience is preferred — including supervising an agronomy team, managing grower accounts, or overseeing agronomy department operations
- Proven ability to build and sustain long-term grower relationships — with a track record of growing crop input sales through trusted agronomic advisory service
Technical Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of crop production principles, fertiliser products, agricultural chemicals, and precision agriculture technologies applicable to Iowa farming conditions
- Familiarity with soil health, crop nutrition, pest and disease management, and variable rate application technology relevant to row crop and specialty crop production in the Midwest
- CCA (Certified Crop Adviser) certification is a plus — but not required for this position; willingness to pursue certification would be strongly encouraged
