Position Overview
This Chemistry Lab Analyst role performs chemical and nutritional analyses in accordance with Nestlé instructions, guidelines, and approved laboratory methods. You will operate analytical instruments and conduct routine testing, accurately record and review analytical data, ensure compliance with GLP, laboratory safety, and quality standards, verify results before reporting, escalate technical or operational issues promptly, support laboratory audits and inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab.

Key Responsibilities
Analytical Testing
- Perform chemical and nutritional analyses in accordance with Nestlé instructions and approved methods
- Operate analytical instruments and conduct routine testing for assigned parameters
Data Management & Documentation
- Accurately record, review, and update analytical data and associated laboratory documentation
- Verify analytical results and ensure tests are reported only when quality control criteria are met
Compliance & Quality Standards
- Ensure full compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety requirements, and 5S
- Support laboratory audits and inspections by maintaining proper records and documentation
Issue Escalation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and escalate analytical, technical, or operational issues to the Laboratory Supervisor
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a chemical or nutritional analytical laboratory
Technical Skills
- Practical experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC, GC-FID, and ICP-OES instruments
- Solid understanding and practical application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, including hands-on audit experience
- Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Knowledge of statistical method control is an advantage
