The Finance and Reporting Specialist at Bitexen in Abu Dhabi provides comprehensive CFO support across the full finance function — coordinating outsourced accounting providers, managing monthly and annual financial close processes, preparing management accounts and board reporting packs, leading budgeting and cash flow forecasting, supporting ADGM and FSRA regulatory submissions, maintaining financial controls, coordinating audits, and analysing financial data to support strategic decision-making — all within a fast-moving, highly regulated digital assets and fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
CFO Support & Financial Reporting
- Work closely with the CFO across accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, treasury, budgeting, and management information
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial performance reports, and reporting packs for the CFO, senior management, and the Board
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes and follow up on all outstanding accounting and reporting matters
- Analyse financial data, identify variances and trends, and provide practical insights to support management decision-making
Outsourced Accounting & External Provider Coordination
- Coordinate and review the work of outsourced accounting service providers, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation by external accounting providers to the required standard
- Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax advisors, VAT advisors, banks, and other financial service providers
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all requested information and evidence are provided accurately and on time
Treasury, Cash Flow & Banking Operations
- Monitor cash positions, liquidity requirements, payment schedules, operating expenses, and banking balances on an ongoing basis
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and budget-versus-actual analyses for CFO and Board review
- Support banking operations, payment processes, account administration, and all treasury-related activities for the company
- Review invoices, expenses, vendor payments, and supporting documents in line with internal approval processes and controls
ADGM / FSRA Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
- Support the preparation, review, and timely submission of financial and regulatory reports required by ADGM and the FSRA
- Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation for regulatory, management, and audit purposes
- Assist in maintaining and improving financial controls, approval matrices, finance policies, and reporting procedures
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting, reporting, treasury, and finance processes across the organisation
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field — required
- Professional accounting qualification or progress toward ACCA, CPA, ACA, CMA, or an equivalent — strongly preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, audit, or treasury functions
- Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end closing, and management reporting is essential
- Experience coordinating with outsourced accounting providers, auditors, tax advisors, and external financial service providers
- Experience in a regulated financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage, or digital assets environment is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ADGM, DIFC, or another regulated financial services framework is a valuable advantage
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling, variance analysis, and reporting preparation
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems for day-to-day financial data management and reconciliation
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail when working with complex financial data and regulatory submissions
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, follow up effectively, and consistently meet strict reporting deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with professional English proficiency essential for this role
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital assets, crypto exchanges, custody, trading platforms, or broader financial markets is highly desirable
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and financial control requirements applicable to ADGM or FSRA-regulated institutions
