DFA Farm Supplies (DFA FS) is seeking an Agronomy Sales Specialist based in Lubbock, Texas to generate sales and provide technical support for optimizing crop production on dairy operations. You will sell and support all agronomic products offered by DFA FS through direct interactions with DFA Farmer Owners and DFA FS Sales Teams, identifying and developing trusted relationships across the agronomic arena.

Position Overview
This Agronomy Sales Specialist role generates sales and provides technical support for optimizing crop production on dairy operations for DFA Farm Supplies. You will coordinate technical agronomy sales visits with Area Sales Managers and Sales Associates, develop consultative relationships with DFA Farmer Owners, document interactions in SalesForce, oversee field trials with industry partners, and represent DFA FS at trade shows, field days, and membership meetings across a defined U.S. territory.

Sales & Relationship Development
- Coordinate with DFA FS Area Sales Managers and Sales Associates on technical agronomy sales visits

- Document all interactions in SalesForce within 24 hours
Territory & Technical Expertise
- Consistently schedule visits to build working knowledge of agronomic conditions across the defined U.S. territory
- Oversee all aspects of field trials with industry partners and provide analytical feedback
- Utilize DFA FS marketing resources for targeted outreach and prospect follow-up
Industry Representation & Advocacy
- Coordinate, attend, and present at industry trade shows, farm field days, and DFA membership meetings
- Advocate for DFA Farmer Owners’ needs through deep relationships with Sustainability and Farm Practices teams
- Educate Farmer Owners and industry partners on the benefits of a DFA FS relationship
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BS in Business Management or Crop Science, or equivalent direct business experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with proven success in direct, on-farm sales and support of agronomic inputs
Essential Skills
- Working knowledge of high-value agronomic inputs for cattle feed production
- Familiarity with dairy farms and dairy farming crop production practices
- Ability to manage time and organize activities across a large geographic area with minimal supervision
- Highly motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple relationships
- Excellent communication skills to educate Farmer Owners and industry partners
- Able to read, write, and speak English; willing to travel 50%-75%
