Position Overview
As Associate Manager Quality (AM QA) at IFFCO Group Dubai, you will serve as the site’s primary guardian of product quality and food safety — carrying full responsibility for ensuring that every product leaving the facility meets IFFCO’s stringent quality parameters, customer requirements, and international certification standards. Your role is broad and impactful: from designing and installing Quality Management Systems to conducting vendor performance reviews, managing customer and consumer complaints, overseeing retail shelf audits, and ensuring full compliance with FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, GMP, and GFSI standards. This is a senior, hands-on quality leadership role for a seasoned FMCG quality professional with the technical depth, auditing expertise, and team management skills to drive food safety excellence across the entire production operation.

Key Responsibilities
FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher & Customer Audit Compliance
- Ensure full and ongoing compliance with FSSC 22000 food safety management system requirements and all relevant customer quality specifications
- Demonstrate deep expertise in Halal and Kosher certification requirements, ensuring site processes and products maintain compliant status at all times
- Lead preparation for and management of high-profile customer audits including Yum! and McDonald’s SQMS — ensuring audit readiness and successful outcomes
- Stay current with evolving international food safety regulations, GFSI schemes, and customer-specific quality requirements to ensure continuous compliance
Quality Management System Design & Installation
- Design and install comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) covering the receipt and storage of raw materials and packaging materials, in-process quality monitoring, material handling, finished goods storage, and dispatch
- Initiate and document all process activities and workflows including GMP certification documentation and customer-specific quality requirements
- Ensure the integrity of quality analysis across the facility through appropriate staff training, calibrated instrumentation, and validated testing protocols
- Continuously review and improve QMS effectiveness to reflect changes in production processes, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
Quality Control — Output Inspection, Testing & Retail Shelf Audits
- Ensure product quality through targeted interventions, systematic inspections, and testing against pre-determined quality parameters at every stage of the production cycle
- Conduct regular quality audits of finished goods on the retail shelf to verify product integrity is maintained throughout its full shelf life
- Implement and monitor appropriate measures to safeguard product quality from production through to retail — covering packaging integrity, storage conditions, and distribution handling
- Oversee in-process quality control activities for raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods with rigorous documentation and traceability
Vendor Management & Supplier Quality Feedback
- Provide periodic, structured feedback on vendor and supplier performance to the Purchase Manager to support vendor upgrade, development, and certification processes
- Evaluate incoming raw material and packaging material quality against defined specifications, escalating non-conformances to procurement teams for supplier corrective action
- Support the development and implementation of vendor quality improvement plans in collaboration with procurement and supply chain stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive supplier quality records and contribute to regular vendor performance reviews that strengthen IFFCO’s supply base quality standards
Safety, Hygiene, Complaints & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure appropriate safety and hygiene systems are in place and actively followed across all factory areas to prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and material contamination
- Investigate customer and consumer complaints thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing process and product improvements to prevent recurrence
- Document complaint investigations with clear findings, corrective actions, and effectiveness verifications in line with IFFCO’s quality governance framework
- Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement across the site — encouraging teams to proactively identify and resolve quality risks before they impact production or consumers
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- B.Tech in Food Technology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a closely related discipline — essential for this Associate Manager Quality role
- Valid certification as a GFSI Lead Auditor (e.g., FSSC 22000, BRC, SQF, or equivalent GFSI-recognized scheme) — a mandatory requirement for this position
Experience Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in a similar quality management role within a medium to large-sized FMCG manufacturing company
- Previous experience with SAP tools used in quality management functions is strongly preferred and considered a significant advantage
- Hands-on experience managing customer audits for global QSR brands such as Yum! and McDonald’s SQMS is highly desirable
Required Skills & Core Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, industry regulations, and audit professional practices across FMCG manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience in New Product Development quality integration, customer centricity, and product quality lifecycle management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to engage effectively with internal teams, customers, regulatory bodies, and auditors
- Strong planning and decision-making abilities with an ownership and result-orientation mindset that drives quality performance at site level
