Position Overview
This CCR Operator role involves operating the assigned unit/plant from the control panel per defined procedures, adjusting operating conditions and taking corrective action for abnormalities. You will maintain radio contact with field operators, update control room registers and logs, coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out procedures during maintenance isolation, and provide on-the-job training to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
Control Room Operations
- Operate the assigned unit/plant from the control panel, adjusting operating conditions and taking corrective action
- Develop thorough understanding of plant layout, processes, and advanced technology systems
- Maintain continuous radio contact with field operators, initiating required actions to maintain parameters
- Update control room registers and logs and carry out proper shift handover
- Make initial diagnostic checks, correct faults, and raise work requests for faulty equipment
- Coordinate Lock Out & Tag Out during equipment isolation for maintenance
- Provide on-the-job training to junior team members
Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures
- Monitor environmental regulatory parameters and report deviations to Shift Supervisor/Engineer
Policies & Continuous Improvement
- Adhere to organizational and departmental policies, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives and improvement programmes
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Technical Diploma holder in Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in control room operations in Power / Water desalination units

- Knowledge of relevant plant equipment and control room operations
- Awareness of HSE & quality standards
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems like DCS, SCADA, PLC, etc.
