Problem Identification & Spec-Driven Development
- Identify high-impact problems using data analysis, partner feedback, and business analysis — not waiting to be told what to build
- Translate business requirements into clear, testable, written specifications before a single line of code is written — spec-driven development is non-negotiable
- Apply a commercial-first mindset — using data to challenge your own assumptions and validate that the problem you’re solving is the right one to solve
- Leverage data for informed decision-making and to track product success after launch — building the measurement framework into the spec from the start
Hands-On Engineering — Build the Solution Yourself
- Build the solution yourself — code, tooling, automation, or orchestration of AI workflows using TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redux, SQL, and Jest
- Apply 2+ years of AI tools and LLM orchestration experience aggressively — Rapyd uses AI tooling throughout and expects every Domain Owner to do the same
- Deliver solutions end-to-end — from spec through implementation, testing, and production deployment — with full ownership and accountability
- Apply exposure to regulated payments, reconciliation, or large-scale system migrations if available — a strong differentiator for fintech domain ownership
Quality Ownership & Post-Launch Iteration
- Own the quality bar — you are personally responsible for what ships to production under your name, not a QA team downstream

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL, Redux, and Jest — production engineering experience, not tutorial-level exposure (REQUIRED)
- 2+ years of experience with AI tools and LLM orchestration — active, hands-on use in a production or near-production engineering context (REQUIRED)
- Proven track record of shipping products or features end-to-end — with demonstrated ownership from problem identification through to production deployment
- Ability to write clear, actionable specifications for solutions you are prepared to build yourself — this is a fundamental expectation, not a nice-to-have
- A commercial-first mindset — using data to challenge your own assumptions and prioritize the highest-impact problems to solve
