Position Overview
The Finance & Accounting Lead role at Mintlayer is a senior finance position based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for owning the company’s management accounts, month-end close process, and the financial reporting pack used by leadership and investors. This role bridges traditional financial discipline with crypto-native operations — managing both fiat and crypto payment workflows, supporting investor due diligence, and serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors within a fast-growing digital asset finance organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting & Month-End Close
- Produce monthly management accounts and the financial reporting pack for leadership review
- Own the full month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries across all entities
Crypto & Fiat Payment Operations
- Process vendor payments and maintain the accounts payable ledger, including both crypto and fiat payment workflows
- Maintain the accounting system and ensure accurate transaction classification across all financial activity
Audit, Tax & Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors on all financial matters
- Support the Head of Accounts on board-level financial reporting and investor due diligence processes
Payroll & Contractor Coordination
- Assist with payroll processing across the organisation
- Coordinate contractor payment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of finance and accounting experience, ideally gained within fintech or crypto environments
Professional Qualifications
- ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification — either in progress or fully completed
Technical & Regional Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or other ERP accounting systems
- UAE financial reporting familiarity is preferred, given the role’s Abu Dhabi base and regional compliance requirements
