Key Responsibilities
Daily Food Safety Compliance Evaluations
- Conduct comprehensive daily food safety evaluations across all assigned client locations — covering food handling, storage, temperature control, hygiene practices, pest control, and overall regulatory compliance
- Utilize GWR’s pre-built digital checklists to perform standardized, consistent, and fully documented compliance verifications at every site — ensuring no evaluation step is missed or incorrectly recorded
- Apply food safety expertise and regulatory knowledge to identify compliance gaps, non-conformances, and food safety risks — recording all findings accurately and objectively within the digital inspection system
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and constructive engagement style with client site teams throughout each inspection visit — representing GWR Consulting’s reputation for quality and partnership
Real-Time Digital Reporting via Mobile Application
- Generate and submit concise, accurate compliance evaluation reports directly from the field via GWR’s mobile application — immediately upon completion of each client site visit with no delays
- Ensure all digital report entries are complete, clearly worded, properly categorized, and submitted within the timeframe required by GWR’s operational reporting standards
- Use tablet and mobile app tools competently and efficiently for real-time data entry, photograph capture, checklist completion, and instant report submission throughout the working day
- Flag any critical food safety non-conformances or urgent compliance risks identified during site visits to the GWR management team immediately via the mobile reporting system
Multi-Site Daily Travel Schedule Management
- Manage a structured, efficient daily travel schedule across the UAE — primarily Dubai, with regular assignments to Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates as required by the client coverage plan
- Plan and execute each day’s site visit sequence with maximum efficiency — optimizing travel routes to ensure all assigned locations are covered within the daily schedule without compromising inspection quality
- Maintain a highly disciplined, consistent daily inspection pace — ensuring that every assigned client site receives its scheduled visit on time, to the correct inspection standard, every single day
- Proactively communicate with the GWR field operations team regarding any scheduling changes, site access issues, or travel delays that could affect daily site coverage targets
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Food Technology, Environmental Health, or a closely related scientific field — required for this Food Safety Inspector role
- Additional food safety certifications such as HACCP, Food Safety Level 3/4, or equivalent UAE-recognized qualifications are a meaningful advantage and strongly encouraged
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in food safety inspection, quality control, or food safety compliance — specifically within the UAE market (UAE experience is required)
- Prior exposure to hospitality, food retail, restaurant, or institutional food service inspection environments is directly relevant and will be given strong preference in the selection process
