Position Overview
This Regional QHSE Coordinator position at Almarai’s Poultry division in Hail, Saudi Arabia is a full-time, on-site regional quality management role at the heart of one of the MENA region’s most important food distribution networks. You will be responsible for maintaining quality systems across all regional operations — ensuring that the receiving, inspecting, handling, storing, selling, and delivering of Almarai’s poultry products consistently meet consumer expectations and company quality standards. This requires implementing quality procedures and SQA forms, conducting regional audits, delivering staff training, investigating quality issues, recommending and following up on corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement analysis across the regional quality programme. Key Responsibilities
Regional Quality Systems Maintenance
- Maintain effective quality systems across all regional operations covering the receiving, inspection, handling, storage, selling, and delivery of Almarai’s poultry products
- Implement defined quality procedures and update SQA forms consistently across all regional outlets, storage facilities, and distribution touchpoints
- Ensure all regional quality activities align with Almarai’s internal quality standards, food safety requirements, and applicable Saudi regulatory frameworks
- Continuously review and update regional quality documentation, procedures, and working instructions to reflect current operational requirements and regulatory standards
Quality Auditing & Inspections
- Conduct scheduled and spot-check quality audits across regional retail outlets, cold chain facilities, distribution centres, and delivery operations in the Hail area
- Inspect product handling, temperature control, storage conditions, hygiene practices, and food safety compliance at all regional touchpoints along the supply chain
- Document all audit findings accurately, score performance against established quality benchmarks, and prepare detailed audit reports for management review
- Follow up on all non-conformances and audit findings to verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and sustainably within agreed timelines
Training, Reporting & Corrective Action Management
- Deliver targeted quality and food hygiene training to regional teams covering product handling, storage best practices, and Almarai’s quality procedures and SQA requirements
- Investigate quality complaints, consumer concerns, and non-conformances — identifying root causes and recommending structured corrective actions with clear accountability
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive quality performance reports for regional and senior management covering audit results, corrective action status, and quality trend analysis
- Review quality performance data on a continuous basis, identify recurring issues, and recommend systemic improvements to strengthen the overall regional quality programme
Continuous Improvement & Consumer Satisfaction
- Conduct ongoing continuous improvement analysis to identify operational gaps, quality risks, and optimization opportunities across the regional quality management system
- Ensure all regional quality activities are consistently focused on satisfying the needs of both consumers and trade customers through disciplined quality programme delivery
- Collaborate with the central Almarai quality team to align regional practices with group-level quality standards, best practices, and improvement initiatives
- Support product quality monitoring at retail and delivery points to ensure ALYOUM poultry products consistently meet Almarai’s premium quality and freshness standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Poultry Technology, Poultry Science, Food Science, Animal Science, or a closely related scientific or agricultural discipline
- Additional qualifications or certifications in quality management systems, food hygiene, HACCP, or ISO standards are a meaningful advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Poultry Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Demonstrated knowledge of product composition, correct product handling procedures, and food hygiene best practices in a poultry or food manufacturing context
- Practical experience implementing, updating, upgrading, and evaluating quality systems across food distribution or manufacturing operations
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Arabic — bilingual fluency is mandatory for this regional team coordination role
- Computer literacy — proficiency in standard office software and quality management reporting tools for documentation and data management
- Valid driving license from country of origin — required for regional site visits, outlet inspections, and field audit activities across the Hail territory
