Why This Role Matters: As Food Safety & Quality Supervisor at Unity Holding Jeddah, you are the technical guardian of food safety across every stage of the food production and service chain — your HACCP monitoring, audit discipline, and training programmes directly protect consumers from foodborne illness and the company from regulatory non-compliance, you operate at the intersection of food science, operational management, and regulatory compliance in one of Saudi Arabia’s most active food service markets — building a supervisory profile that is recognized and valued across the GCC food industry, you work directly with Operations, Kitchen, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams — gaining the cross-functional leadership experience that transforms technical food safety specialists into the most impactful quality managers in the region, and you contribute to a food safety culture that doesn’t just meet the minimum regulatory standard but genuinely makes the food safer, the processes better, and the team more informed and accountable every single day.

 Key Responsibilities

Daily Food Safety Monitoring & Compliance

  • Monitor daily food production and service operations to ensure consistent, verifiable compliance with the company’s food safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory specifications
  • Monitor and record critical temperatures at all key stages of the food chain — receiving, cold storage, preparation, cooking, hot holding, and serving — ensuring all CCPs remain within safe parameters
  • Ensure product quality, shelf life, and labelling are checked and maintained across all food items — identifying and addressing any non-conformances before products reach the point of service or sale
  • Monitor and enforce FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) stock rotation practices across kitchen, storage, and purchasing functions to minimize waste and protect food quality

HACCP, GMP & GHP Programme Implementation

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s HACCP plan — ensuring all Critical Control Points are actively monitored, accurately documented, and consistently kept within defined safe limits
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) standards across all food handling, preparation, and production activities within the operation
  • Develop, review, and update hygiene and sanitation programmes — ensuring all cleaning schedules, sanitization procedures, and pest control activities are carried out correctly and on time
  • Ensure that all food safety and quality systems remain aligned with ISO 22000 requirements and relevant Saudi food safety authority and municipality regulatory frameworks

Inspections, Audits & Corrective Actions

  • Conduct regular inspections of food production areas, storage facilities, kitchen environments, and receiving docks — identifying hazards, non-conformances, and hygiene risks before they escalate
  • Lead and execute internal food safety audits — documenting findings accurately, preparing audit reports, and developing clear and actionable corrective and preventive action plans
  • Follow up on all corrective actions to verify effective implementation and closure — ensuring that identified food safety issues are genuinely resolved and do not recur
  • Support external municipality inspections, third-party audits, and regulatory authority visits — preparing documentation, coordinating with operations teams, and ensuring readiness at all times

Food Safety Training & Employee Awareness

  • Deliver structured food safety and hygiene training to all kitchen, operations, warehouse, and support staff — building a genuine culture of food safety awareness and personal responsibility across the team
  • Develop and update training materials, hygiene induction programmes, and food safety refresher content tailored to the specific roles and risks within the organization
  • Monitor employee compliance with personal hygiene standards, food handling procedures, and food safety protocols on the floor — coaching and correcting staff in real time where required
  • Maintain comprehensive food safety records including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, training records, audit reports, and corrective action documentation for regulatory and management review

Cross-Functional Quality Coordination

  • Work closely and collaboratively with Operations, Kitchen, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to resolve quality concerns, communicate food safety requirements, and implement improvement initiatives
  • Advise Purchasing on food safety specifications, approved supplier requirements, and product quality standards — supporting the procurement of safe, compliant, and appropriately labelled food inputs
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse team on cold chain management, stock rotation, storage temperature monitoring, and product traceability to protect food quality throughout the supply chain
  • Report food safety performance, audit outcomes, and quality trends clearly to management — providing data-driven insights that support continuous improvement across the operation

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Solid audit and technical reporting skills — able to document findings accurately, write clear corrective action plans, and present food safety data credibly to management and regulatory bodies
  • Leadership and team management capability — experienced in supervising, coaching, and training frontline food service and kitchen staff on food safety and hygiene standards
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills — able to explain food safety concepts clearly and engagingly to team members at all levels of education and experience
