Key Responsibilities
New Product Development
- Develop innovative new food products across relevant FMCG categories from initial brief through to finalised formulation
- Design and execute development trials, recipe iterations, and formulation testing in a professional food technology setting
- Optimise new product formulations for taste, texture, nutritional profile, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Manage the full NPD process — concept, development, evaluation, scale-up, and production handover — to agreed timelines
Product Evaluation & Quality Assessment
- Conduct rigorous product evaluations across sensory, physical, chemical, and microbiological performance parameters
- Assess raw material suitability and ingredient functionality within new and existing product formulations
- Document and maintain comprehensive product evaluation records, test results, and technical development data
- Lead or support shelf-life studies, stability testing, and consumer-facing product validation activities
UAE Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure all new and existing food products fully comply with UAE food safety regulations and applicable standards
- Apply strong working knowledge of UAE food labelling, ingredient, and nutritional compliance requirements
- Liaise with regulatory and quality teams to ensure product documentation, claims, and packaging meet legal requirements
- Monitor regulatory updates and communicate the impact of changes on product development and compliance strategies
R&D & Production Team Collaboration
- Work closely and collaboratively with R&D teams to align product development projects with innovation strategy
- Partner with production teams during scale-up phases to ensure smooth and efficient product manufacturing transitions
- Participate actively in cross-functional project meetings, NPD review sessions, and product launch planning activities
- Share technical knowledge and food science expertise openly with colleagues across the R&D and production functions
Documentation & Technical Reporting
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and well-organised technical documentation for all product development projects
- Prepare technical reports, formulation records, product specifications, and regulatory compliance summaries
- Support internal quality audits, supplier assessments, and external regulatory review processes as required

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
