Position Overview
The Head of Supply Chain Operations at Elvis Eis Bargteheide takes full responsibility for procurement, supplier management, inventory and warehouse operations, ERP and data processes, and quality management across the business. In this senior leadership role, you will lead and develop multiple teams, drive supplier negotiations, manage logistics partners, ensure ERP data quality, and actively build the scalable, transparent, and stable supply chain processes that the company needs to sustain its rapid growth across the German and Austrian retail food market.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Organisational Development
- Take full disciplinary and functional leadership responsibility for the procurement, inventory management, ERP/data, and quality management teams
- Lead, develop, and coach the teams in each assigned area — building capability, setting clear direction, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Work closely with the management team to align supply chain strategy with business growth objectives and operational scaling requirements
- Act as a hands-on leader who actively shapes structures and processes in a fast-growing, entrepreneurially driven food company
Procurement, Supplier Management & Contract Negotiations
- Take full responsibility for procurement strategy, supplier management, and long-term supplier relationship development across all categories
- Lead price, terms, and contract negotiations with suppliers — securing favourable conditions while maintaining quality and supply continuity
- Develop and implement a robust supplier strategy that supports the company’s rapid growth and retail expansion across Germany and Austria
- Manage external communication with suppliers, logistics partners, service providers, and system partners professionally and effectively
Inventory, Warehouse & Logistics Management
- Manage and further develop inventory planning, replenishment, warehouse processes, and internal logistics operations to support 5,000+ supermarket deliveries
- Ensure reliable, efficient, and transparent goods flow from procurement through production to outbound logistics and retail delivery
- Commercially and contractually support procurement of machinery, technical equipment, and larger investments in coordination with production and management
- Optimise warehouse processes and batch logistics to reduce waste, improve stock accuracy, and support scalable retail operations
ERP Systems, Data Quality & Digital Process Development
- Take ownership of data quality within the ERP system and drive the ongoing development and optimisation of digital system processes across supply chain functions
- Champion ERP system integrity across inventory management, procurement, batch tracking, and logistics workflows
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including automation, AI tools, and modern system logic to future-proof supply chain operations
- Develop transparent, scalable, and data-driven supply chain processes that grow with the business as retail reach expands
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed university degree in Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), Business Administration (Betriebswirtschaft), or a directly related field
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, inventory management, logistics, or operations — ideally in FMCG, food, consumer goods, or manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to manage, steer, and develop operational teams clearly and effectively
- Solid understanding of ERP systems, data quality management, inventory management, stock management, and batch logistics
Essential Skills
- Strong negotiation skills and a confident, professional presence in dealings with suppliers, partners, and service providers
- Highly process-oriented, analytical, structured, and consistent in implementation — able to build scalable processes from the ground up
