- Take full professional and disciplinary responsibility for the Purchasing and Planning & Control departments of the Heating & Ventilation division at the Kulmbach site — leading, developing, and motivating a capable, results-focused team that delivers reliable material supply, operational planning excellence, and strategic procurement performance
- Define clear departmental goals, performance standards, and development plans for team members — building a high-performing supply chain and procurement function that is agile, data-driven, and continuously improving in its capabilities and output quality

Integrated Business Planning & S&OP Process Development
- Take responsibility for integrated supply chain planning — driving the continuous development and maturation of the structured Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process across the Heating & Ventilation division at the Kulmbach site
- Lead the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) cycle — coordinating demand, supply, inventory, and financial planning across Sales, Purchasing, and Production with transparency, accuracy, and a consistent focus on balancing short-term operational demands with medium-term strategic planning objectives
- Coordinate production planning activities — ensuring transparent alignment between Sales forecasts, production capacities, production sequences, and machine and labour utilisation to support on-time delivery commitments and operational efficiency across the manufacturing floor
- Develop and report meaningful supply chain and planning KPIs — continuously monitoring delivery capability, planning quality, inventory levels, and supply chain risk exposure using data-driven dashboards that give management clear visibility of performance and emerging issues
Supply Chain Risk Management & Performance Optimisation
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate supply chain risks — including single-source dependencies, geopolitical supply disruptions, component availability constraints, and supplier financial or quality risks — developing and executing risk mitigation strategies that protect Glen Dimplex Germany’s production continuity
- Continuously monitor and improve key supply chain performance indicators — including delivery capability, planning accuracy, inventory turnover, and working capital efficiency — implementing corrective actions where KPI performance falls below targets
- Further develop the division’s procurement and supply chain strategies — integrating market intelligence, supplier landscape analysis, and supply chain trend assessments into a forward-looking strategy that positions Glen Dimplex Germany competitively for the next 3–5 years
- Ensure timely supply of production materials to the Kulmbach manufacturing operation — managing exceptions, shortfalls, and expediting requirements proactively and with the urgency that uninterrupted production demands
Strategic Procurement & Supplier Development
- Conduct price and contract negotiations with national and international suppliers at a senior commercial level — combining deep market knowledge, strong analytical preparation, and skilled negotiation technique to secure optimal total cost of ownership outcomes for Glen Dimplex Germany
- Manage the complete supplier selection, qualification, and development process for production materials, merchandise, services, and capital goods — ensuring that Glen Dimplex Germany’s supplier base is capable, qualified, financially stable, and continuously developing in quality and delivery performance
- Work in close collaboration with the Development department on the introduction of new components and products — providing procurement and supply chain input from the earliest stage of product development to ensure commercial viability, supply chain readiness, and time-to-market effectiveness
- Develop and implement supplier segmentation strategies — allocating procurement attention and relationship investment in line with strategic importance, spend volume, and supply risk, and defining differentiated development roadmaps for key and preferred supplier partnerships
Lean, Digitalisation & Continuous Improvement
- Initiate and lead lean improvement projects within the Supply Chain and Procurement function — applying lean methodology to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, simplify processes, and free capacity for higher-value strategic work across both departments
- Drive digitalisation initiatives across supply chain and procurement processes — identifying opportunities to leverage ERP/MRP functionality more fully, automate manual workflows, implement digital supplier collaboration tools, and apply data analytics to improve planning and purchasing decision quality
