Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Crew Development
- Serve as an inspirational leader to assistant supervisors, foremen, and landscape crew members on all job sites
- Train, recruit, mentor, and actively develop crew members to build a high-performing, motivated field team
- Meet with crews and foremen daily to coordinate tasks, assign work, and confirm materials are in place
- Maintain consistent communication with all team members on property needs, schedules, meetings, and job updates
Client Relationship Management
- Manage and exceed client expectations through frequent, proactive verbal and written communication
- Inspect client properties at least once per month and follow up with clients after each site visit
- Assess opportunities to enhance and improve gardens and landscape maintenance at client properties
- Maintain close contact with clients to understand, communicate, and implement design-build project contracts
Operations & Workflow Management
- Assist in scheduling jobs for maximized efficiency and superior client service delivery
- Manage all work orders and ensure accurate, timely completion and smooth workflow across all active projects
- Complete and verify accuracy of blue sheets, packing slips, route boards, flower sheets, and attendance logs
- Prepare and submit all information required for purchase orders and project proposals in a timely manner
Asset Protection & Equipment Management
- Ensure correct procedures are followed for the maintenance and protection of all company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Locate, acquire, and deliver the highest quality landscape plants and materials as required by each project
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and deployment of all landscape materials and horticultural supplies
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or asset damages to management immediately and accurately
Design-Build Project Delivery
- Provide installation of the highest quality design-build landscape projects from concept through to completion
- Ensure satisfied customers and profitability while constructing projects to the highest industry standards
- Receive relevant certifications and continue education in appropriate horticultural and landscaping areas
- Identify and implement improvements to landscape maintenance practices at all client properties
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year of related landscape installation supervisor experience in a field leadership role
- Proven experience managing a crew of laborers providing landscaping or related outdoor services
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to continue education through workshops, classes, and collaboration
Essential Skills
- Strong English communication skills — both verbal and written — for client and team interactions
- Bilingual Spanish is a significant plus and highly valued in this diverse team environment
- Clean driving record required for operating and managing company vehicles on job sites
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple work orders, schedules, and crews simultaneously
- Passion for horticulture, outdoor living, and delivering landscape excellence for residential clients
