Position Overview
The Lead Auditor — Food Safety / BRCGS at TÜV SÜD Middle East in Dubai conducts rigorous external audits against BRCGS food safety standards, evaluates food safety management systems, identifies non-conformities, prepares detailed audit findings, and supports certification decisions across manufacturing and consumer food production sites throughout the UAE and GCC. The role requires an active registered BRCGS Lead Auditor qualification, 5+ years of GCC food safety auditing experience, and comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and related regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
BRCGS & Food Safety Auditing
- Conduct thorough, professional audits against BRCGS Food Safety standards at client manufacturing and production facilities
- Plan and prepare detailed audit schedules to ensure comprehensive coverage of all applicable audit criteria
- Evaluate food safety management systems including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and BRCGS frameworks
- Perform external audits for ISO 22000, HACCP, and BRCGS standards across food processing and production environments in the GCC
Audit Reporting & Non-Conformity Management
- Deliver value-added audit services by identifying non-conformities and clearly communicating findings to client teams
- Prepare detailed, professional audit findings reports that meet ISO 17021 and ISO 19011 documentation requirements
- Follow up on corrective actions identified during audits to ensure timely, effective resolution by client organisations
- Ensure all audit activities maintain full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and certification body requirements
Certification Support & Technical Reviews
- Support certification decisions by providing accurate, well-documented technical reviews of audit findings and evidence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17021 certification body requirements and ISO 19011 auditing guidelines throughout every engagement
- Collaborate with TÜV SÜD’s technical review teams to ensure audit outcomes are consistent, fair, and technically sound
- Maintain active BRCGS Registered Lead Auditor status and keep all professional certifications current and up to date
Qualifications & Requirements
Certification Requirements
- Active registration as a BRCGS Lead Auditor — this is a mandatory requirement for this position
- Lead Auditor qualification covering ISO 22000, FSMS, or BRCGS — minimum one qualification required
- Compliance with ISO 17021 and ISO 19011 auditing and certification body standards
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in food safety auditing, preferably gained within the GCC region
- Hands-on experience in food production or food processing environments is essential for this auditor role
- Demonstrated ability to conduct external audits for ISO 22000, HACCP, and BRCGS standards independently
Technical Knowledge
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of risk assessment principles and HACCP plan development and evaluation
- Comprehensive understanding of BRCGS, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, GMP, and applicable food safety management frameworks
- Ability to identify, document, and communicate technical non-conformities clearly in professional written audit reports
- Familiarity with food manufacturing, consumer products, and food processing regulatory environments across the GCC
