Position Overview
This Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role places you at the heart of one of the UAE’s most ambitious AI banking platform builds. You will take full ownership of Production Readiness across enterprise AI applications and cloud infrastructure — developing automated testing frameworks, defining reliability standards, implementing observability, and ensuring AI-powered banking services consistently meet the performance, security, and compliance standards required within a highly regulated financial environment. Key Responsibilities
Site Reliability Engineering & Resilience
- Design and implement resilient, highly available cloud platforms on Azure and AWS — ensuring the Agentic AI banking platform meets enterprise uptime, recovery, and performance requirements
- Build automated recovery and self-healing capabilities that minimize human intervention during platform incidents and ensure continuous AI service availability at banking scale
- Conduct chaos engineering exercises to proactively validate system resilience — identifying failure modes before they impact customers in production environments
- Perform rigorous load and stress testing across all platform components to ensure AI banking applications can support peak banking-scale workloads under real-world conditions
Automated Testing & Quality Engineering
- Develop comprehensive automated regression testing frameworks in Python — using PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework to validate both application functionality and infrastructure deployments
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines — ensuring every code and infrastructure release is thoroughly validated before reaching production environments
- Ensure every release meets enterprise quality standards and banking regulatory compliance requirements before production deployment across the AI platform
- Define and enforce quality gates, release criteria, and deployment standards that protect the platform’s stability and reliability throughout continuous delivery cycles
AI Quality Assurance & LLM Validation
- Build automated frameworks to evaluate AI model responses — validating prompt behaviour, output consistency, and response quality across the Agentic AI platform’s conversational and decision-making capabilities
- Measure AI performance using established evaluation techniques and custom benchmarks — including LLM evaluation frameworks such as DeepEval, Ragas, or LangSmith, and scoring metrics including ROUGE and BLEU
- Validate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt engineering configurations, and AI-generated outputs to ensure they meet the accuracy and reliability standards required in a regulated banking environment
- Help continuously improve the reliability, consistency, and safety of enterprise AI services across the platform through structured evaluation, benchmarking, and iterative quality improvement
Observability, Monitoring & Alerting
- Define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for all AI platform services — establishing clear, measurable reliability targets aligned with banking business requirements
- Develop interactive dashboards and proactive monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and AWS CloudWatch to give full visibility into platform health and performance
- Configure intelligent alerting systems that identify emerging issues and anomalies before they impact customers — enabling proactive remediation rather than reactive incident response
- Continuously analyze platform health, reliability, and performance trends — using observability data to drive informed infrastructure optimization and capacity planning decisions
Security, Compliance & Cloud Optimization
- Automate security testing and compliance validation to ensure AI services consistently meet banking security standards, data privacy requirements, and data residency regulations in the UAE
- Support continuous platform governance and operational excellence — maintaining audit-ready compliance evidence across cloud infrastructure and AI platform components
- Identify inefficient infrastructure configurations and unnecessary cloud spend — implementing FinOps initiatives that improve AI platform performance while optimizing operational costs across Azure and AWS
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code validation, Terraform governance, and serverless cloud architecture optimization where applicable across the AI banking platform
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Technical Skills
- Strong commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Test Automation in enterprise or financial services environments
- Expert Python development skills — able to build production-quality automation frameworks, testing pipelines, and AI evaluation tools independently
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks including PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework in CI/CD-integrated testing environments
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms — including cloud networking, scalability, reliability, and infrastructure validation concepts
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools — Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus in production environments
- Experience with performance testing tools such as K6 or JMeter for load and stress testing at enterprise scale
AI Experience (HIGHLY VALUED)
- Experience working on AI, Generative AI, Conversational AI, or Agentic AI projects — with practical understanding of how to evaluate AI system performance and output quality
- Experience with prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI benchmarking, and ROUGE/BLEU scoring methodologies
- Working knowledge of AI quality evaluation frameworks such as DeepEval, Ragas, or LangSmith is a strong advantage for this role
