Position Overview
As Production Manager (Protein) — Poultry Processing at Almarai’s Hail plant in Saudi Arabia, you will take full leadership responsibility for managing all production operations at the facility — driving the achievement of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, environmental compliance, and budget control. You will develop and implement production schedules to maximise efficiency, monitor and analyse production data to identify and act on improvement opportunities, oversee poultry health, nutrition, and biosecurity practices, and lead a large, multi-functional production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role demands a decisive, experienced, and results-driven production leader with a deep technical background in poultry processing and at least a decade of industry experience.
 Key Responsibilities
Production Operations Management
- Manage all production operations at the Almarai Poultry Processing plant in Hail — ensuring the consistent achievement of production targets within agreed quality, environmental, and budget parameters across all production lines and shifts.
- Develop and implement production schedules to maximise operational efficiency, equipment utilisation, labour productivity, and output volume — while minimising downtime, waste, and cost overruns across the production facility.
- Monitor and analyse production data — tracking key performance indicators, identifying areas for operational improvement, and implementing targeted corrective and improvement actions to continuously elevate plant performance.
Poultry Health, Nutrition & Biosecurity
- Apply and uphold comprehensive knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, and biosecurity practices across the processing plant — ensuring all biosecurity protocols are strictly observed to protect flock integrity and product safety.
- Ensure that all quality, food safety, and environmental standards are consistently maintained across the production operation — supporting Almarai’s regulatory compliance requirements and the company’s commitment to product excellence.
Leadership, Communication & Performance
- Lead, develop, and motivate a large, multi-functional production team — building operational capability, maintaining high team performance, and creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety awareness.
- Apply excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional relationships with Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and HR teams — ensuring smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated production operations at the Hail facility.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple simultaneous priorities — making sound, data-informed decisions under pressure in a demanding poultry processing environment.
Qualifications & Required Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology — or a closely related academic discipline providing the scientific foundation required for managing a technically demanding poultry processing production operation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the poultry industry under production — a deep, comprehensive hands-on background across all stages of poultry processing, from live bird handling through to finished product output.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within the poultry industry — demonstrated leadership, team management, production planning, and operational accountability in a senior production management capacity.
- Proven ability to develop and implement production schedules to maximise efficiency — experience with capacity planning, shift scheduling, line balancing, and throughput optimisation in poultry or food manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and analyse production data — with a track record of using production KPIs and performance data to drive measurable operational improvements.
