Position Overview
The QA Technician – Protein / Poultry at Almarai in Riyadh is a full-time, plant-based quality assurance role within Almarai’s Poultry Operations. Under the guidance of the SQAM/DQAM (Poultry), the QA Technician coordinates all quality-related aspects of poultry operations — assisting the Quality team to effectively manage all quality functions within the plant. The role requires hands-on QA experience in meat or poultry processing, a strong working knowledge of food quality standards, the ability to conduct quality awareness programs independently and effective communication skills in both Arabic and English across a multinational workforce.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Coordination in Poultry Operations
- Coordinate all quality-related aspects within Almarai’s Poultry Operations under the guidance of the SQAM/DQAM (Poultry) — ensuring all quality activities are executed accurately and consistently.
- Assist the Quality team within the plant to effectively manage all aspects of quality control, food safety compliance and quality assurance in daily poultry processing operations.
- Monitor in-process quality checks across poultry production lines — identifying deviations from quality specifications and escalating non-conformances to the Quality team promptly.
- Participate in quality inspections, internal audits and quality review activities relevant to the poultry processing and protein operations facility.
Quality Standards Implementation & Awareness
- Apply and enforce a good working knowledge of food quality and food safety standards relevant to meat and poultry processing operations within the plant.
- Conduct quality awareness programs independently for production staff and food handlers — building a strong, plant-wide culture of quality, hygiene and food safety compliance.
- Support the SQAM/DQAM in implementing and maintaining quality management systems and standard operating procedures applicable to Almarai’s Poultry Operations in Riyadh.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records and audit trails in compliance with Almarai’s quality standards and relevant food safety regulatory requirements.
Multinational Workforce Communication & Team Support
- Communicate effectively with a multinational workforce — conveying quality requirements, safety standards and corrective actions clearly in both Arabic and English to ensure full understanding across all team members.
- Act as a quality point of contact for production staff — addressing quality concerns, answering queries and supporting a proactive, quality-first plant culture across all poultry operations shifts.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Quality team, production supervisors and operations management to resolve quality issues efficiently and prevent recurrence through structured corrective action.
Candidate Requirements
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Diploma degree or High School qualification — mandatory educational requirement for shortlisting.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a Quality role within a Meat Processing Plant — mandatory experience requirement.
- Specific experience in a Quality role within a Poultry Processing Plant is required and strongly preferred.
