Position Overview

The QHSE Supervisor at Kitopi Dubai plays a critical role in ensuring all kitchen facilities comply with local food safety, health, and environmental regulations. You will lead daily site inspections, supervise sanitation activities, manage food quality complaints, coordinate with service providers, conduct staff training on HACCP and HSE standards, and support continuous improvement across operations. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong technical expertise in quality control and a passion for food safety excellence.

 Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Compliance Oversight

  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and environmental regulations across all kitchen facilities
  • Lead and supervise all sanitization activities to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across premises
  • Investigate and report food quality complaints promptly, coordinating with stakeholders for timely and effective resolution
  • Monitor compliance of new projects and kitchen expansions with food safety and HSE codes and regulations

Facilities & Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure proper maintenance and functionality of kitchen appliances and facilities
  • Support kitchen expansions and appliance implementation, ensuring compliance with municipal and safety codes at every stage
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, and Business Excellence teams to identify and rectify non-conformities quickly
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement across all quality, health, and safety practices

Audits, Inspections & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed, accurate reports following audits, inspections, and incident investigations for management review
  • Assist with comprehensive risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Handle and support local municipality inspections and food safety audits with professionalism and thorough documentation
  • Stay up to date with all relevant food safety and HSE legislation to support company-wide compliance initiatives

Training & Emergency Preparedness

  • Conduct food safety and Health and Safety training, inductions, and onboarding sessions for all new and existing staff
  • Lead emergency preparedness sessions ensuring kitchen teams are equipped to respond to incidents effectively
  • Drive awareness and understanding of QHSE standards among 6,000+ employees across multiple locations
  • Champion a safety-first culture that aligns with Kitopi’s commitment to quality and operational excellence

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, or any science-related field
  • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification is strongly preferred for this role

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or food safety, preferably in catering or hospitality sector
  • Demonstrated familiarity with handling local municipality inspections and food safety audits in UAE or GCC
  • UAE or GCC driving license is required due to multi-site travel responsibilities

Certifications

  • Level 3 HACCP and Food Safety for Catering certification — mandatory, non-negotiable requirement
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH certifications are preferred and will strengthen your application significantly

Essential Skills

  • Strong data analysis and report-writing skills for audit documentation and incident reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities to train and guide diverse kitchen teams
  • Ability to manage multiple site responsibilities simultaneously with strong organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of food safety regulations, environmental compliance, and occupational health standards in UAE
