Position Overview
The Quality Control Analyst at Vieco Pharmaceuticals is responsible for performing thorough quality control checks across all stages of pharmaceutical production. From sampling raw and packaging materials to conducting physicochemical tests, calibrating instruments, performing water and stability analyses, and analyzing finished products across all dosage forms — this role sits at the heart of product safety and patient well-being. Key Responsibilities
Raw Material & Packaging Material Sampling
- Perform sampling of raw materials and packaging materials in full compliance with established quality control procedures and GMP standards
- Conduct all physicochemical testing on raw material and packaging material samples to verify quality and compliance before use in production
- Prepare and standardize working standards, volumetric solutions, reagents, and indicators required for accurate laboratory analysis
Instrument Calibration & Laboratory Compliance
- Calibrate all laboratory instruments according to defined work instructions to ensure ongoing compliance with quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records in line with GLP documentation requirements
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is in optimal working condition and flag any deviations or out-of-specification results promptly
Chemical Water Analysis
- Perform chemical water analysis including pH measurement, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), conductivity testing, and limit tests as required
- Document and report all water analysis results in compliance with pharmaceutical water quality standards and internal SOPs
Stability Testing & Process Validation
- Perform comprehensive chemical and physical testing for stability time points across all assigned pharmaceutical products
- Conduct analysis of finished products across all dosage forms, process validation samples, and bulk finished product samples
- Support the stability program by maintaining accurate testing schedules and timely result reporting
Finished Product Analysis & Documentation
- Analyze finished pharmaceutical products across all dosage forms to ensure full compliance with registered quality specifications
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and GMP-compliant laboratory documentation including test records, logbooks, and analytical reports
- Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by the QC Manager to support overall laboratory and compliance objectives
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field
- Strong academic foundation in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or laboratory science disciplines
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Quality Control experience within a licensed pharmaceutical company
- Practical knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GDP compliance standards as applied in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated experience with physicochemical testing, instrument calibration, and pharmaceutical product analysis
Essential Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all laboratory testing and documentation activities
- Familiarity with water quality testing methods including pH, TOC, conductivity, and limit testing
- Ability to work effectively within a regulated pharmaceutical environment and follow SOPs with precision
- Good communication skills and ability to report findings clearly to QC management teams
