Position Overview

This Supply Chain Planner role at Pomom is designed for someone who thrives at the operational heart of a growing, internationally active business. You will plan and coordinate the entire flow of goods — from production scheduling through to delivery — while simultaneously keeping a sharp eye on stock levels, master data accuracy, and shipping logistics. As Pomom expands into new international markets, your expertise will be integral to making that growth happen smoothly and efficiently. This is not a passive, back-office role — it is an active, impact-driven position for a supply chain professional who wants to move things forward and take real ownership of outcomes.

Why This Role Matters: As Supply Chain Planner at Pomom, you are the operational backbone of a company that is actively growing across international markets. Your planning decisions directly determine whether products arrive on time, whether inventory levels stay healthy, and whether Pomom’s expansion into new countries runs smoothly. You will work with freight forwarders, production teams, and international partners every day — and your ideas will genuinely change how the company operates. This is a role with real responsibility and real impact from day one.

 Key Responsibilities

Goods Flow Planning & Order Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate Pomom’s complete flow of goods — ensuring all orders are produced, processed, and delivered accurately and on time.
  • Manage production schedules in close coordination with internal production teams to align output with current and forecasted demand levels.
  • Monitor order pipelines proactively, identify potential delays or disruptions early, and implement solutions before they impact delivery performance.
  • Maintain and update all relevant planning data, schedules, and order records within Pomom’s systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

International Expansion Support

  • Actively support Pomom’s strategic expansion into new countries by establishing supply chain processes, logistics routes, and partner relationships in new markets.
  • Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to understand demand requirements in new geographies and plan supply accordingly.
  • Develop and refine global supply chain processes to support Pomom’s international growth trajectory efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Act as a key operational link between Pomom’s internal teams and international logistics partners, freight forwarders, and market-specific suppliers.

Inventory Management & Master Data Maintenance

  • Monitor stock levels continuously across Pomom’s supply chain — ensuring optimal inventory is maintained to support high delivery capacity at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data within planning and logistics systems to support reliable reporting and operational decision-making.
  • Identify inventory risks, slow-moving stock, or shortfall situations early and coordinate corrective actions with relevant internal teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in inventory planning methodology, stock management tools, and replenishment cycle efficiency.

Shipping Coordination & Freight Management

  • Coordinate all outbound and inbound deliveries — working closely with freight forwarders, shipping service providers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage shipping bookings, documentation, and communication with carriers to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods across all markets.
  • Monitor transport performance against cost, time, and quality KPIs — identifying and resolving any issues or deviations quickly and professionally.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to shipping routes, carrier partnerships, and freight procurement strategies to optimise cost and service levels.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Development

  • Serve as the central operational interface between production, logistics, sales, and international partners — ensuring seamless cross-functional communication and alignment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments and international locations in both German and English with confidence and professionalism.
  • Actively identify process improvement opportunities across the supply chain and implement practical solutions independently and with initiative.
  • Contribute your own ideas to build and develop Pomom’s supply chain capabilities as the company grows — shaping processes, not just following them.

 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training (Berufsausbildung) or a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
  • A solid foundational understanding of business processes, supply chain logic, and commercial operations is essential for success in this role.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven practical experience in one or more of the following areas: supply chain planning, logistics, purchasing, or production planning in a commercial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently with Excel and common digital tools — able to quickly adapt to and master new systems and platforms.
  • Experience working across international supply chains or with international logistics partners and freight forwarders is a significant advantage.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English — written and spoken — including the ability to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, structured, and highly organised working style — able to maintain clear oversight across multiple simultaneous topics and priorities.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a high degree of independence, initiative, and the personal drive to take on genuine responsibility and move things forward.
    • Strong numerical understanding and an analytical approach to business processes, data, and supply chain performance metrics.
