Position Overview

The SCM Specialist at LG Chem Europe’s Frankfurt Business Service Center will manage overall supply chain operations from purchasing through to end customer delivery. This includes coordinating inventory levels, purchasing and delivery order processing with the headquarters in Seoul, managing inbound and outbound logistics, monitoring warehousing and logistics service contracts, handling customs clearance and duty management, and maintaining close communication with sales teams, customers, and logistics partners across the European market.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Supply Chain Management

  • Manage overall supply chain operations from purchasing through to end customer supply
  • Ensure and coordinate inventory levels including purchasing and delivery order processing to headquarters
  • Coordinate complete handling of the transportation chain and logistics processes across Europe
  • Handle inbound and outbound logistics ensuring smooth, efficient supply chain flow

Logistics, Warehousing & Inventory Control

  • Support and monitor compliance with warehousing and logistics service contracts
  • Conduct monthly stock analysis and inventory management, including on-site stock investigation
  • Monitor, review, and process logistics-related costs to ensure budget accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform monthly closing of inventory levels and customer invoicing processes

Customer Service & Account Management

  • Handle customer service inquiries and complaint resolution related to supply and logistics
  • Manage customer balance confirmation and account verification processes accurately
  • Maintain close communication with sales teams, customers, and logistics partners
  • Support sales and accounting-related administration and documentation requirements

Trade Compliance & Documentation

  • Manage customs clearance and duty processes in compliance with EU trade regulations
  • Process purchase orders and prepare accurate sales invoices for customer transactions
  • Track supplier contracts, checking and entering supplier invoices in the system
  • Maintain accurate documentation supporting audits, compliance checks, and internal reporting

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management
  • Equivalent qualification in a related field will also be considered

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills for cross-functional coordination
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related business software tools
  • Knowledge of SAP (ERP) system strongly preferred for this role
  • Business fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is considered a strong plus
