Position Overview
This Swimming Pool Technician role involves maintaining proper water chemistry, cleaning and servicing pool surfaces and decks, inspecting and troubleshooting filtration systems and pumps, maintaining detailed maintenance records, operating chlorination and water treatment systems, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations for aquatic facilities in a hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities
Water Quality & Chemical Management
- Monitor and maintain proper water chemistry, including pH, chlorine and alkalinity levels
- Operate and manage chlorination and water treatment systems in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment parts
- Interpret water testing results and chemical analysis accurately
Pool Maintenance & Cleaning
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of pool surfaces, decks and surrounding areas
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for guests and members at all times
- Maintain detailed records of water quality tests, treatments and repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and pool-related issues
Equipment & Filtration Systems
- Inspect, service and troubleshoot pool filtration systems, pumps and mechanical equipment
- Identify equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate with maintenance personnel
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety and environmental regulations for aquatic facilities
- Follow pool safety standards and regulatory requirements consistently
- Work independently while managing time and priorities effectively
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in pool maintenance, water treatment or aquatic facility operations
- Strong knowledge of pool chemistry and water quality management
- Proficiency operating and maintaining filtration systems, pumps and related equipment
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret water testing results and chemical analysis
- Familiarity with pool safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and lift equipment as required
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification
