Position Overview

This Warehouse Logistics Specialist role at NAXCON GmbH in Weeze, North Rhine-Westphalia is a full-time, shift-based logistics position within the defence sector — specifically supporting the F-35 aircraft programme at the Weeze operational site. You will be responsible for the complete daily warehouse operations cycle — storing and retrieving goods, labelling and packing, loading and unloading lorries and containers, managing internal transport and bookkeeping procedures, maintaining warehouse order, cleanliness, and safety, disposing of commercial waste correctly, and assisting with stocktaking activities. The role is suited to logistics professionals with a completed vocational training in logistics or equivalent qualification, a valid forklift licence, scanner experience, and the willingness to work rotating shifts in a well-structured international defence and engineering environment.

Why This Role Matters: As Warehouse Logistics Specialist at NAXCON GmbH in Weeze — supporting the F-35 programme, one of the world’s most advanced defence aviation projects — you will apply your logistics expertise in one of the most technically significant and operationally precise working environments in German defence and aerospace, work alongside an international engineering team at a leading German engineering services company that combines cutting-edge AI, electronics, and defence expertise, develop your professional profile within a structured, multicultural organisation that actively supports German language learning for international team members and invests in regular team development events, and build a stable, full-time warehouse logistics career in North Rhine-Westphalia’s defence and engineering sector — one of Germany’s most economically significant and employment-rich federal states.

 Key Responsibilities

Goods Storage & Retrieval

  • Store incoming goods correctly within the warehouse according to approved storage procedures, location designations, and any special handling or segregation requirements applicable to defence and aviation logistics materials — ensuring every item is correctly located, clearly identifiable, and stored in a way that protects product integrity and enables fast, accurate retrieval
  • Retrieve goods from warehouse storage locations accurately and efficiently in response to internal pick requests and production support requirements — verifying pick accuracy against pick lists or scanner instructions and ensuring the correct item, quantity, part number, and batch or serial number are retrieved every time
  • Maintain accurate goods location records — updating warehouse management system records at the time of every goods movement to ensure the system always reflects the true physical location of every item in the warehouse, supporting fast picking, accurate stocktaking, and reliable inventory management
  • Assist with stocktaking activities — participating in scheduled and unscheduled physical inventory counts, reconciling physical counts against system records, accurately documenting count results, and flagging discrepancies for investigation and resolution by the warehouse supervisor

Goods Labelling, Packing & Repacking

  • Label goods accurately in accordance with defence logistics and warehouse labelling standards — ensuring that all items bear the correct identification, part number, quantity, batch or serial number, and any other required labelling information before placement in storage or preparation for dispatch
  • Pack and repack goods as required — selecting appropriate packaging materials for the product type and destination, applying correct packing techniques that protect goods during storage and transport, and completing all packaging documentation required for defence and aviation logistics compliance
  • Verify goods against accompanying documentation at the point of receipt and packing — confirming quantities, part numbers, and condition match the associated paperwork and flagging any discrepancies, damage, or non-conforming items to the warehouse supervisor for review before goods are accepted or dispatched

Loading, Unloading & Internal Transport

  • Load and unload lorries and shipping containers using forklift trucks and appropriate handling equipment — operating all equipment safely, in compliance with site safety rules and relevant German occupational health and safety regulations, and ensuring all loading and unloading activities are completed without damage to goods, equipment, or the working environment
  • Manage internal transport of materials within the warehouse and between operational areas — planning efficient transport routes, operating industrial trucks and handling equipment safely, and ensuring materials reach their destination correctly without damage or loss
  • Maintain the forklift licence and comply with all associated operating requirements — conducting pre-use checks on forklift equipment before each operating session, reporting defects or safety concerns promptly, and operating at all times in a manner that protects the safety of colleagues, goods, and facilities

Bookkeeping, Documentation & Internal Procedures

  • Take responsibility for internal transport and bookkeeping procedures — accurately recording all goods movements, receipts, dispatches, and internal transfers in the warehouse management system using handheld scanners and digital recording tools, maintaining the data accuracy that is essential in a defence logistics environment
  • Use barcode scanners and warehouse IT systems proficiently — processing all goods receipts, picks, packs, and dispatches through the correct system transactions, maintaining accuracy and speed in equal measure to support efficient warehouse throughput without sacrificing data integrity
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documentation — goods receipt notes, packing lists, pick records, transfer records, and any other operational documentation required by the F-35 programme’s logistics procedures and NAXCON’s internal warehouse management standards

Warehouse Order, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Maintain impeccable order, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout the warehouse — keeping all storage areas, aisles, loading bays, and operational zones clear, clean, and compliant with German workplace safety regulations and NAXCON’s internal safety management requirements at all times
  • Dispose of commercial waste correctly — segregating waste materials according to German waste management regulations, using designated waste disposal routes and receptacles, and supporting the warehouse’s compliance with environmental management and sustainability obligations
  • Identify and report any safety hazards, equipment defects, or non-compliant conditions observed in the warehouse — contributing to a safe, well-maintained working environment where every team member feels confident that safety standards are actively monitored and upheld
  • Support the warehouse team’s collective commitment to continuous improvement — participating in team huddles, process improvement discussions, and safety briefings, and actively contributing ideas that make warehouse operations safer, more efficient, and more reliable in the F-35 programme’s demanding defence logistics environment

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship in logistics (Ausbildung zur Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik, Fachlagerist, or equivalent) or an equivalent recognised qualification in warehouse operations, logistics, or a closely related field — mandatory vocational or equivalent qualification for this role
  • Valid forklift operator licence (Staplerschein) — a mandatory safety and operational requirement for this role; candidates without a current, valid forklift licence will not meet the requirements

Experience Requirements

  • Practical experience using barcode scanners and digital warehouse management tools in a professional warehouse or logistics environment — this scanner proficiency is required for the daily goods processing activities of this role
  • Working knowledge of various warehouse management systems and industrial trucks — understanding how to operate within a structured warehouse IT environment and how to handle different types of industrial equipment safely and productively
  • Willingness and availability to work shifts — specifically the early shift (05:45–14:15) and the late shift (13:45–22:15) — shift flexibility is a mandatory requirement for this full-time role
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role — supporting the operational flexibility that NAXCON’s defence sector project work may occasionally require

Language & Personal Requirements

  • Good written and spoken English — required for effective communication in the international, multicultural F-35 programme environment and for processing English-language logistics documentation common in defence aviation supply chains
  • Genuine enjoyment of teamwork — a collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential for a warehouse role where success depends on coordinated effort across the full logistics team
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional work ethic — the character qualities that define an excellent warehouse logistics professional in a precision-critical defence environment where every goods movement matters
