Position Overview
This Warehouse Supervisor / Shift Supervisor role involves working in a state-of-the-art, largely automated pharmaceutical warehouse. While the production facility is under construction, you will support projects such as system design, standard work processes, and the commissioning of automated storage equipment. You will manage and coach warehouse staff, lead shop floor and department meetings, ensure GxP practices are always followed, and monitor automation functionality to guarantee the safe and effective operation of ASRS and AGV equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Setup & Project Support
- Support projects during facility construction, including system design and standard work processes
- Contribute to commissioning of automated storage equipment
- Potentially gain practical work experience at other Lilly production facilities
- Develop and maintain process strategies to ensure adherence to the production plan
Team Leadership & Communication
- Manage and coach warehouse staff across shifts
- Participate in and lead meetings, including daily shop floor and department meetings
- Maintain regular, direct communication with the department head
- Support the department head in the personnel recruitment process and conduct employee performance reviews
Quality, Safety & Automation Oversight
- Promote, support, and maintain a safety- and quality-oriented working environment
- Ensure GxP practices are always followed within the department
- Identify and communicate deviation events, implement corrective actions, and create QMS system entries
- Monitor automation functionality to ensure safe and effective operation of ASRS and AGV equipment
- Assign shift schedules to department employees
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational & Experience Requirements
- “Logistics Master” qualification (or comparable Bachelor’s degree) with at least 5 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, preferably in a GxP environment
- Or completed vocational training as a “warehouse logistics specialist” with at least 10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics, preferably in a GxP environment
Essential Skills
- Extensive leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and strong teamwork
- Sound judgment, reliability, resilience, initiative, accuracy, and diligence
- Strong technical interest and experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Experience with fully or partially automated warehouse systems is an advantage
- Willingness to work shifts (24h/7d shift plan currently being set up)
- Excellent German and existing English skills, plus very good MS Office skills
- On-site presence and active contribution to team success
