Position Overview
The Crop Consultant at Amalgamated Sugar Company serves as the trusted agronomic advisor for cooperative growers across the Nampa/Nyssa District. You will visit grower fields regularly throughout the growing season, advise on all phases of sugarbeet production, supervise harvest and receiving operations, maintain detailed agronomic records via the AgriData mobile application, and represent the company in contract discussions and signings. This is a hands-on, field-first role for an agronomist who loves being out in the crop — not behind a desk.
Why This Role Matters: Sugarbeet farming is precision agriculture at scale. Amalgamated Sugar’s 180,000 acres and 7,000,000 tons of annual production depend on Crop Consultants who can recognize a soil deficiency, recommend the right herbicide programme, spot a nematode issue before it costs a grower their season, and guide harvest operations that feed factories running day and night. As Crop Consultant in the Nyssa/Nampa District, your agronomic decisions directly affect the profitability of every grower you advise and the quality of every ton of sugar produced.
