Position Overview
The Quality Associate (Business Quality Specialist) at Nestlé Sheikhupura is a hands-on, high-impact quality role within one of Pakistan’s most prestigious FMCG manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Set up, manage, and uphold the Nestlé Quality Management System (NQMS) at the Sheikhupura plant level, ensuring all high standards are consistently met across every production function.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and unwavering commitment to zero defects among all plant personnel, supervisors, and contractors.
- Manage the internal auditing programme, assess the performance of the quality system, report its effectiveness to management, and propose actionable improvements based on findings.
- Monitor key quality parameters using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Raw Material & Supplier Quality
- Ensure the proper management and release of raw and packaging materials, investigating any non-conformities thoroughly until they are fully resolved and documented.
- Conduct supplier audits and drive tangible improvements in cases of non-conformities, strengthening supplier partnerships and ensuring consistent incoming material quality.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on quality requirements and corrective actions arising from audits or material testing results.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene practices across the Sheikhupura facility at all times, including effective implementation and monitoring of pest management programs.
- Ensure all plant activities comply with WHO guidelines, local regulatory codes, and Nestlé’s global food safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere strictly to WHO and local codes in all job functions, including Nestlé’s infant nutrition marketing policy requirements.
Training & Quality Culture
- Promote quality awareness across the plant and actively assist in the delivery of training programs for personnel and contractors — covering initial training, quality awareness, hygiene standards, and quality staff development.
- Challenge all functions to drive Nestlé Continuous Excellence through the elimination of defects and waste in daily production activities.
- Handle any additional tasks required to support the QA team in achieving the plant’s quality and compliance objectives.
What Will Make You Successful
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry — required for this role
- Additional certifications in food safety, HACCP, internal auditing, or quality management systems are a valued advantage
- Strong academic grounding in food safety principles, microbiological testing, or chemical analysis relevant to food manufacturing
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in quality management within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or related industry — required
- Demonstrated capability to lead a team — such as managing lab analysts or quality technicians — is an important selection criterion
- Proven track record of delivering results through cross-functional teams — working across production, supply chain, procurement, and operations
- Experience with supplier auditing, internal QMS auditing, or SPC-based quality monitoring is a significant advantage
