Position Overview
As Demand & Production Planner in Rheinfelden, you will be the central architect of an integrated supply chain planning function within a leading German medical technology company. Your responsibilities span SKU-level demand forecasting, capacity and production planning, MRP process management within ProAlpha, and the facilitation of a structured monthly S&OP process across Sales, Finance, and Operations. You will also lead inventory optimization through ABC/XYZ analysis, define and report key supply chain KPIs, and build decision-support models for management and investor-level reporting — all while actively developing the broader planning team’s skills and systems knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Integrated Supply Chain Planning — Demand, Production & S&OP
- Build and manage an integrated supply chain planning function spanning demand, production, inventory, and S&OP
- Develop, maintain, and continuously refine SKU-based sales and demand forecasts to drive production accuracy
- Lead capacity and production planning processes including day-to-day operational steering and scheduling
- Establish and facilitate a structured monthly S&OP process that aligns Sales, Finance, and Operations stakeholders
MRP Process Management & ERP Master Data (ProAlpha)
- Own and manage MRP processes within ProAlpha, ensuring accurate and timely material requirements planning
- Maintain and govern ERP master data to ensure planning accuracy and system integrity across all supply chain modules
- Identify and resolve MRP exceptions, conflicts, and planning deviations proactively and with clear root cause analysis
- Support system enhancements and ProAlpha/SAP configuration improvements in collaboration with IT and operations teams
Inventory Optimization & KPI Reporting
- Analyze and optimize inventory levels using ABC/XYZ segmentation, safety stock modeling, and inventory review processes
- Define, track, and report supply chain KPIs including delivery reliability (Liefertreue), backorder rates, capacity utilization, and forecast accuracy
- Develop actionable recommendations from KPI analysis to drive continuous improvement across the supply chain
- Build capacity and decision-support models for use at management and investor reporting level
Team Development, QM Compliance & Documentation
- Develop the technical expertise of the planning team through targeted coaching, training, and process guidance
- Ensure full compliance with quality management (QM) processes and documentation standards relevant to medical device regulations
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of planning processes, system configurations, and operational procedures
- Drive cross-functional coordination with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align planning decisions with business goals
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, or a comparable field
- APICS CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification — or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in supply chain planning — covering demand, supply, production planning, and S&OP
- Demonstrated track record of building and developing S&OP processes from the ground up in a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in forecasting methodologies, inventory planning, and analytical supply chain planning techniques
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced ERP knowledge — SAP, ProAlpha, or equivalent systems — with deep understanding of MRP logic and master data management
- Proficiency in planning, reporting, and KPI management tools and systems for operational and strategic decision-making
- Structured, assertive, and communicative personality with strong experience in cross-functional stakeholder alignment across Sales, Finance, and Operations
