Position Overview

The Food Technologist / Quality Control Officer in UAE plays a frontline role in protecting product quality and consumer safety across a protein and nutritional supplement manufacturing operation. From monitoring incoming raw materials through to inspecting finished supplement products, you will be the hands-on quality guardian of the entire production process. You will conduct routine testing, maintain detailed documentation, ensure GMP and HACCP compliance, investigate quality deviations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and support the product development team with stability testing and white-label production needs. Key Responsibilities

Quality Monitoring & Inspection

  • Monitor raw materials, in-process production stages, and finished supplement products to ensure all quality standards are consistently met
  • Conduct routine quality inspections, physical and chemical testing, and thorough documentation for protein powders and nutritional supplements
  • Review product formulations, manufacturing specifications, and production records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Perform or support stability testing activities to validate shelf-life and product integrity across all supplement product lines

GMP, HACCP & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure full operational compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP principles, and applicable UAE food safety regulations
  • Maintain and enforce company quality standards across all stages of the production and packaging process
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled quality audits on production lines to verify adherence to approved procedures and hygiene standards
  • Identify potential food safety risks and escalate findings through appropriate channels for timely corrective action

Corrective & Preventive Actions

  • Investigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints through structured root cause analysis
  • Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to eliminate recurring quality issues
  • Track CAPA implementation and verify effectiveness through follow-up inspections and documentation reviews

Product Development & White-Label Support

  • Support the product development team with quality evaluation, formulation review, and prototype testing for new supplement products
  • Assist with white-label production quality requirements, ensuring third-party product specifications are met in full
  • Collaborate closely with production and regulatory teams to align quality standards with manufacturing capabilities and market requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or a closely related scientific field

Experience & Knowledge Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of food safety management systems including GMP, HACCP, and related quality control procedures
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing, nutritional supplement production, or pharmaceutical manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with supplement or protein powder production processes, raw material specifications, and finished goods testing methodologies

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — with the ability to investigate quality issues and implement practical, lasting solutions
